The Mahdi Abolishes Mainstream Islam, he doesn’t Validate it

ree

It’s 2025, and the world around us is changing fast. From technological advances, widespread use of artificial intelligence, and new innovations - to rampant bloodshed, war, diseases and overall disregard of human life. Society is evolving all the time, and anyone who has read any Islamic eschatological predictions and prophecies will surely agree that religious texts warned us and foretold this apathetic, unfeeling time. An era where social ills are found everywhere we look, in the East and in the West.

Part of those Islamic prophecies talk of the solution, though - a sun that rises, engulfing the dark with its brilliant light, and, essentially, saving humanity itself from total self-destruction. A saviour, a Mahdi, who spreads peace and justice.

Narrated by Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib: Prophet Mohammed said, “If only one day of this time (world) remained, Allah would raise up a man from my family who would fill this earth with justice as it has been filled with oppression.” (Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 31, Hadith 4270)

But how does he do it?

In other words…how does the Mahdi save the world?

Here’s an interesting take, and the popular understanding of Muslims today:

According to Muslims today, the Mahdi appears in this dark era to save the world - by establishing mainstream Islam itself. Sunni Muslims have their own version of this Islam. Shia Muslims believe him to present himself differently.

But is that what really happens?

Before we get into that, let’s break down what is happening to the world and why.

Forms of corruption have appeared in society. We’re going to cover some of them here and trace back to the cause.

Example 1: Religious Prostitution in Iran

Iran has to be number one on the list of examples of countries that breed social ills. Prostitution is a terrible thing - subjecting women to this inhumane lifestyle is nothing short of barbaric. But what happens when women are raised to believe that this is religiously, divinely sanctioned?

Women are enforced, if not encouraged, by Twelver shia scholars in Iran to go through mu’tas or “temporary marriages,” that can last from an hour to a night - depending on how much the man is willing to pay for the girl. These marriages are requested by random men, often by Muslim Shia tourists visiting Iran for sacred visitations to the shrine and mausoleum of the eighth Imam Ali Redha. With actual scholars wearing turbans arranging these temporary marriages, these women and underage girls are pimped out for the sake of putting bread on the table.

According to an article on BBC News:

“Unofficial data also suggests Iran's sex workers are getting younger. Statistics from various NGOs suggest that in 2016 girls as young as 12 were involved in prostitution. Aftab Society, an NGO dedicated to treatment of drug-addicted women in Iran, said in 2019 that there could be almost 10,000 female sex workers in the capital, roughly 35% of whom were married.”

This unholy social ill in the holy land of Iran is a blight against the Muslim nation - a mark in history that will never be erased, just as the cries of these oppressed women and children will not cease to be remembered.

Example 2: Destroying Hospitals in the Name of God

The reign of Bashar Al-Assad over Syria is a dark and sordid chapter in humanity’s history. He was clearly no stranger to committing crimes against humanity. Add on top of that political support provided by the so-called Islamic government of Iran, and it turns into an ungodly recipe for disaster.

The New York Times reported Asad’s decision to destroy hospitals in Syria - an act directed to break the will of his own people and even, reports say, to hide evidence of his war crimes.

Hospitals - places where the vulnerable, the elderly and infants found sanctuary and medical aid - were targeted, obliterated. All while “Ayatollah” Khamenei stood watching, hand-in-hand with Bashar Al-Assad.

The question is rhetorical - is this humane?

Here’s a more specific rhetorical question - if Iran is running the government of God, as it alleges, then why is “God’s” government ok with bombing hospitals in Syria for the sake of Bashar Al-Assad? Is that really His divine plan?

Something is very corrupt in this narrative.

Example 3: No Medicine for the Innocent - says the “House of God”

Why is Yemen suffering from lack of humanitarian aid and medical help?

Multiple independent investigations—from the United Nations, Reuters, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch—indicate that the Saudi-led coalition has repeatedly blocked or delayed medical aid entering Yemen, worsening an already severe humanitarian crisis.

Translation: Saudi Arabia, the land that is governed by a family that calls themselves the “Custodians of the House of God,” is ensuring that Yemen slowly suffers. And they are denying it.

Humanitarian groups report that ships carrying essential supplies such as antibiotics, surgical equipment and cholera medication have been stopped for weeks at Hodeida port, even when cleared by the UN.

A Reuters investigation found that one shipment meant for 300,000 people was held for three months, causing $20,000 in medicine to expire (Reuters, 2017). Coalition airstrikes destroyed Hodeida’s main port cranes in 2015, significantly slowing aid unloading (UN Panel of Experts, 2016). When the UN’s World Food Programme sent replacement cranes, coalition authorities prevented their entry (WFP, 2017).

According to the UN, 14.8 million people in Yemen lack access to basic healthcare. Over half of Yemen’s hospitals are closed or barely functioning. Medical workers say patients are dying from treatable illnesses because aid cannot reach hospitals.

Example 4: Unholy Gender Inequality

Supposedly Islamic republics are no stranger to the social diseases spread due to a corrupt idea - gender inequality.

When scripture is rashly and recklessly misinterpreted by fallible scholars, and the masses are fed false ideas of one gender being inferior, chaos reigns. This corrupt view is prevalent in countries like Pakistan.

Gender inequality is seen as a societal norm - and it’s based on religious ideas. Women are not given priority in the education sector. A sense of tribal pride that is toxic dominates villages, making it possible for people to commit honour killings. Women are even debased for getting raped, and punished for being assaulted. Protection is minimal. Girls are raised in environments that are hostile and humiliating. Female illiteracy is a big issue.

Some startling statistics:

According to White Ribbon, 60–70% of Pakistani women suffer some form of violence or abuse. From 2021–2024, 173,367 cases of violence against women were reported nationally, including murder, honor killings, rape, and abductions.

In 2024, according to HUM News, 4,558 gender-based violence (GBV) cases were reported (Jan–Nov), including 1,273 murders, 533 rapes, and 799 abductions.

The National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) reports that 47% of Pakistani women experience domestic violence.

According to the National Commission for Human Development, the overall literacy rate is 60.6%, with female literacy at 52.8%.

Where does the Problem lie?

What do these examples have in common?

The troubling common denominator between all of these horrifying realities is that religious ideas are used to justify them. Religion is used to enforce these social issues.

Wars and war crimes, such as what was mentioned earlier in the cases of Syria and Yemen, are committed by supposedly religious entities. Families and organizations that are seen as symbols of Islam and Islamic ideals, whether it’s the case of the Saudi family or the case of the government of Wilayat-e-Faqi in Iran, are responsible for these satanic decisions.

Social diseases of gender inequality, violence against women, prostitution of the innocent, general lack of resources and wealth inequality - these social ills are now the norm in many parts of the world.

Tragically, despite the beautiful teachings of Mohammed and the Family of Mohammed, Islam becomes the ultimate source of these corrupt ideas and perverse teachings.

Islam today is out of control - or maybe in too much control. Scholars of religion have a great deal of say in what people should be believing and practicing.

Is that how it was meant to be?

Prophet Mohammed walked the earth 1,400 years ago, and, as a good shepherd would, he appointed successors to continue ensuring the protection of his sheep.

History shows us that a very select few accepted those chosen successors as their leaders.

However, we clearly have a problem at hand. With so many different sects and ideas, and random, fallible scholars assuming divine ability to be authority figures without God’s permission, the world is crumbling to pieces. Religion should not be causing these problems, and yet it is. The reason is simple: wolves cannot be the shepherds of sheep.

This is why we have this narration in the books:

Prophet Mohammed said: “Whoever dies and doesn’t pledge allegiance to the Imam of his time has died the death of ignorance.” (Al-Aql wa Al-Jahl fi Al-Kitab wa Al-Sunnah, Mohammed Al-Reyshahri, p. 275)

There’s always the right, divinely appointed successor that we must follow, in order to save ourselves from wolves who exploit, seek power and control, and shed no tears over the needless spilling of innocent blood.

It’s clear: the reality of Islam today is that it is broken broadly into two kinds.

One kind of Islam allows the following of random fallible men who claim scholarly prowess and therefore must be obeyed and honoured, seen as divinely inspired, and allowed to align themselves with political powers that create chaos.

The other kind of Islam is the kind where the believer or Muslim submits to nobody other than the man appointed in the Will of the previous divinely appointed man, aka, Prophet Mohammed. But this leads to something interesting - that man, the Mahdi from the Will, is also prophesied as being against the corrupt version of Islam, an Islam that the Prophet describes as follows:

“There will come a time upon the people when nothing will remain of Islam except its name, and nothing will remain of the Quran except its words. Their mosques will be splendidly furnished but destitute of guidance. Their scholars will be the worst people under the Heavens; strife (fitna) will issue from them and return to them.” (Mishkat al-Masabih 1/91, Hadith 276)

A Controversial Reality

And here comes the controversial, yet vividly clear truth - the Mahdi will not be validating the Islamic scholars and their own man-made religions. He is not meant to do so. In fact, he’s meant to abolish these corrupt systems.

“The Qaim/Riser shall rise with a new matter, and a new book, and a new jurisprudence/rule which will be hard for the Arabs.” (Kitab Al-Ghayba (Book of Occultation), Al-Numani, Vol. 1, p. 236)

This hadith is especially heavy for any Muslim who does not want change:

Imam Al-Baqir said: “If the Riser/Qaim rises he shall destroy everything that came before him, just as the Prophet of Allah did, and he shall establish a new Islam.” (Kitab Al-Ghayba (Book of Occultation), Al-Numani, Vol. 1, p. 236)

Out with the old - in with the new. At least, that’s clear from what this hadith is saying:

Aba Abdillah said: “If the Qaim rises, he demolishes the Masjid Al-Haram (the mosque complex of Mecca that surrounds and encompasses the Kaaba), until he returns it to its origin and moves the Maqam to the place that it was really at, and he cuts off the hands of the Bani-Sheyba and hangs it on the door of the Kaaba and writes on it: These are the thieves of the Kaaba.” (Bihar Al-Anwar, Al-Allamah Al-Majlisi, Vol. 52, p. 338)

This hadith, among many, many others, is making it abundantly clear that the man-made Islam of the people today is not God’s desired religion.

Let’s put it this way - if the Islam of today, any of its many forms, were working well, why would the world look this way?

If it were not corrupt, why would so much evil and social injustice be committed in its name?

And if these narrations exist in the books, why are the Muslims of today ignoring the fact that clearly the Mahdi must change the way of Islam today, in order to establish the new, true form?

There must be a new way. There has to be an established form of religion that is sanctioned by scripture, that is prophesied for the time when religion is corrupt and in need of a remake. It’s not a time to mourn the death of old ideas - it’s a time to celebrate the relief of a cancerous system being excised. And how does the Mahdi remove corruption?

By establishing what is just and good, and spreading the knowledge of this good, true religion of God, that is under a divinely appointed man, in peace. And that is exactly what Aba Al-Sadiq is doing. He is peacefully campaigning for humanity, for bettering the world, for uniting together in saving lives - all under God’s banner and in His name.

The more we spread this light, the more the world will join in. That’s what we believe, and that’s what we see happening on a daily basis.

And this is the creed by which we stand. We are a people of God, and we only take from the man sent by God.

The world deserves better than man-made religions.

The people deserve God’s religion, and the people deserve God.
