- What your Pledge of Allegiance Really Means
Throughout history, pledging loyalty to a leader, flag, or nation has been a crucial part of society. This loyalty wasn't just a formality; it was often strictly enforced, with serious consequences for those who didn't comply. In ancient Rome, loyalty to the emperor was essential. Roman soldiers and officials had to take an oath called the sacramentum, promising to defend the emperor and the state. This wasn't just a ritual; it was a binding commitment. Breaking this oath was considered treason and could result in severe punishment, including death. As part of the sacramentum, soldiers would swear, "I will faithfully execute all that the Emperor commands, I will never desert the service, and I will not seek to avoid death for the Roman Republic." (De re Militari, Vegetius Renatus) During the Middle Ages, Europe operated under a feudal system where vassals pledged loyalty to their lords. This bond was formalized through ceremonies where vassals knelt before their lords and swore to serve and protect them. This promise was sacred, and breaking it could mean losing everything, including land, titles, and even life. In the era of absolute monarchies, kings claimed their right to rule came directly from God. This divine right meant that subjects owed absolute loyalty to their king. For instance, Louis XIV of France, the Sun King, demanded unwavering loyalty, punishing any dissent harshly. In England, after events like the Civil War and the Glorious Revolution, loyalty oaths to the monarch were legally required. Refusing to swear allegiance could lead to imprisonment or execution. During this time, subjects were required to swear allegiance to the king. The exact phrasing of these oaths varied, but they commonly included commitments to defend the king and to uphold his authority. An example of such an oath from the English Restoration period is: "I do declare and promise, that I will be true and faithful to the king's majesty, and will bear faith and true allegiance unto him, and defend him to the uttermost of my power against all conspiracies and attempts whatsoever which shall be made against his person, crown, or dignity." The rise of nationalism in the 19th and 20th centuries made allegiance to the state even more critical. In Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler required absolute loyalty from all citizens. Soldiers and officials swore the Führereid, or Führer oath, directly to him, not to the constitution or the state. This oath was a tool for Hitler to consolidate power, and breaking it was considered treason, punishable by death. These historical examples show that allegiance has always been essential for maintaining control and stability in societies. From the loyalty oaths of ancient Rome to the Führer oath in Nazi Germany, pledging allegiance was more than a formality—it was a way to enforce power and ensure obedience. As we move into the present day, the ways governments demand loyalty have changed, but the core idea remains the same. Modern-Day Allegiance In today's world, allegiance to a government is a fundamental expectation placed on citizens across the globe, often without them fully realizing the extent of its reach. German politicians pledging allegiance to the state When individuals become naturalized citizens of a new country, they typically swear an oath of allegiance. This pledge is not just a ceremonial gesture; it signifies a commitment to the laws, values, and sometimes even the leaders of the nation. For instance, in the United States, new citizens pledge to: “Support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” (United States Oath of Allegiance) This oath is a binding agreement, signaling a shift in loyalty from their country of origin to their new homeland. At the same time, those who break the values by committing certain severe crimes or even by being what is considered “undemocratic” can lose their citizenship in some cases; a fact that is often overlooked. The Pledge of Allegiance is a prime example of a daily ritual that enforces a sense of loyalty among citizens. Recited in schools, at public events, and even in some government meetings, this pledge is ingrained in American culture for example. It serves as a constant reminder of one's duty to the nation and its flag. The words “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands,” reflect a deep commitment that citizens are expected to uphold throughout their lives. In monarchies like Saudi Arabia, loyalty to the ruling family is a deeply embedded tradition. Upon taking office, public officials swear allegiance to the king. This oath of loyalty reinforces the king's authority and the central role of the royal family in governing the nation. Such practices ensure that the monarchy's influence is maintained and respected across all levels of government and society. National Service Requirements & Implicit Allegiance Many countries enforce national service requirements, which mandate that citizens contribute to the state, typically through military or civil service. In countries like South Korea and Israel, young men (and in Israel, young women as well) are required to serve in the military for a set period. This service is not optional; it is a legal obligation that emphasizes the individual’s duty to their nation. Such requirements underscore the belief that every citizen has a role to play in the defense and functioning of the state. Whoever does not comply faces imprisonment - or at the very least social repercussions like unemployment and withdrawal of government benefits. Orthodox jews have been fighting with Israel's government for years, to avoid their “duty” to go to war for Israel. Israeli police disperse ultra-Orthodox Jewish men and boys blocking a road during a protest against the country's military draft in Jerusalem on February 26 CREDIT: LEO CORREA/AP Governments have various methods to ensure their citizens fulfill their pledges of allegiance, whether through legal measures or societal pressure. The consequences of failing to meet these obligations can be severe and far-reaching, underscoring the seriousness with which states view loyalty. One of the primary ways governments enforce allegiance is through legal penalties. For instance, in many countries, refusing mandatory national service or evading military conscription can lead to imprisonment or hefty fines. In South Korea, young men who attempt to avoid compulsory military service can face jail time and a criminal record, affecting their future careers and social standing. Beyond legal penalties, social consequences can also be significant. In many societies, failing to demonstrate loyalty can lead to social ostracism. Individuals may be shunned by their communities, lose their jobs, or face public condemnation. In democratic countries, those who refuse to participate in national symbols or rituals, such as standing for the national anthem, can face backlash from their peers and the media. Forced Conscription in the Ukraine A particularly stark example of enforced allegiance is the situation in Ukraine, especially amidst the ongoing conflict with Russia. Under martial law, the Ukrainian government has implemented strict conscription policies to bolster its military forces. Conscription officers are actively detaining men on the streets, often providing minimal training before sending them to the front lines. This practice has not spared the elderly or even women in some cases, highlighting the extreme measures taken during wartime. The stories emerging from Ukraine are truly harrowing. Young men with no prior military experience are suddenly thrust into combat, barely prepared for the brutal realities of war. Older men, who thought their days of service were long behind them, are being called back to fight once again. Even women, traditionally exempt from such duties, are finding themselves caught in the conscription net. These individuals, regardless of their awareness or readiness, are forced to fulfill their pledge of allegiance to their country, illustrating the severe consequences of martial law mobilization. In one distressing scene, a man is forcibly taken by recruitment officers. He screams and struggles, but his efforts are in vain. The officers show no mercy as they drag him into their vehicle, ignoring his desperate attempts to break free. This man, like many others, is being taken against his will to a nearby military base. Another video shows a heart-wrenching scene where a woman, mourning her husband who died in the war, visits his grave with her brother-in-law. Their visit is abruptly interrupted by Ukrainian military recruiters who forcibly take the brother-in-law, despite his protests and the woman's frantic pleas. He is "volunteered" on the spot, with no regard for his consent or the family's grief. In Odessa, a local worker was going about his daily routine when he was unexpectedly accosted by enlistment officers. They sprayed him with tear gas, causing immediate pain and disorientation. Despite his desperate attempts to resist, the officers forcibly grabbed him and threw him into a waiting van. Another disturbing video shows a man vehemently resisting forced mobilization by military officers. His screams pierce the air as he struggles desperately. The confrontation escalates, and the officers resort to kicking him, leaving him crumpled and in pain on the ground. They abruptly retreat, likely intimidated by villagers rushing to the man's aid. The relentless demand for new recruits to sustain the ongoing war effort has reached extreme levels, causing widespread frustration among Ukrainians. In cities like Kiev, Khmelnitsky, Kharkov, and Dnepropetrovsk, residents have begun setting fire to vehicles belonging to military recruitment officers, highlighting their growing anger and desperation. Vokha, a disabled individual in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), gained unwanted attention when a video showed soldiers frightening him in a trench. This disturbing footage highlighted that even people with disabilities are expected to fulfill their pledge and are not spared from the brutal demands of war. Former U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO, Ivo Daalder, recently urged the Ukrainian government to start mobilizing its youth. In an interview with Euronews , he emphasized the need for fresh recruits, stating, "What Ukraine needs to do is mobilize human resources. This is a war fought by 40-year-olds... you need to recruit 18-year-olds, you need to recruit 20-year-olds, and you need to recruit 21-year-olds." According to a new law in Ukraine, men who attempt to avoid the draft may face severe penalties, including losing their homes. Those who do not update their information at recruitment offices will be fined, and if they fail to pay, their apartments or houses can be confiscated. This law highlights the government's desperate measures to ensure enough personnel for military operations. These situations raise profound questions about the consequences of pledging allegiance and the reality of freedom under such circumstances. Many Ukrainians now feel trapped by the commitments they have made, realizing that their pledges have bound them to a government they perceive as oppressive and tyrannical. Instead of protecting their interests, this government seems to own their lives, sending them into a brutal conflict that some fear could spark a third world war. This tragic scenario underscores the harsh reality that their pledges of loyalty have led them not to freedom but to a dire and dangerous servitude. These stories from Ukraine are just a glimpse into what happens when people pledge allegiance to their governments without fully understanding the implications. A pledge of allegiance is an oath that should not be taken lightly. You should be careful who you pledge your allegiance to and what and who you support. Otherwise you might find yourself in a situation like those Ukrainian men. Do not forget, these examples are not limited to Ukraine; other Western countries would no doubt act similarly in times of war, calling on their citizens to fulfill their pledges of allegiance. What these examples clearly demonstrate is that ignorance of one's duties does not exempt them from the consequences. Whether through legal repercussions, social ostracism, or forced conscription, the enforcement of allegiance is a serious matter. Governments expect their citizens to fulfill their pledges, and failure to do so can result in life-altering penalties. In times of war, such as the situation in Ukraine, these measures can become even more controversial and extreme, reflecting the dire needs of a nation under threat. The harsh penalties and societal pressures associated with enforcing allegiance highlight the serious nature of these commitments in modern governance. However, allegiance to a higher power, such as God, presents a different perspective on loyalty. This form of allegiance has deeply influenced societies throughout history and continues to offer a contrasting view on the nature of duty and devotion. Allegiance to God as an Alternative? While allegiance to governments and leaders is deeply ingrained in society, allegiance to a higher power, such as God, offers a different perspective on loyalty and duty. If it is normal for us to pay allegiance to the state, how can it not be normal to pledge allegiance to a prophet or messenger that is sent from God? This is what religions have been based on for thousands of years. Throughout history, many religious traditions have emphasized the importance of pledging allegiance to God or divine representatives. This allegiance often involved not just a spiritual commitment but also practical implications for the adherents’ daily lives. In Islam, for instance, pledging allegiance to the Prophet Muhammad is a fundamental act. This allegiance is expressed through the Shahada, the declaration of faith that states, "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." This pledge was not merely symbolic but a commitment to follow the teachings and guidance of the Prophet. The Quran highlights this in Surah Al-Fath, stating, "Indeed, Allah was pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you ˹O Prophet˺ under the tree. He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down serenity upon them and rewarded them with a victory at hand." (Qur'an, Chapter 48 (Al-Fath), Verse 18) Similarly, in Christianity, followers pledge allegiance to Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the ultimate mediator between humanity and God. Pledging allegiance to Jesus involves accepting him as Lord and Savior, following his teachings as recorded in the Gospels, and living in accordance with Christian principles of love, forgiveness, and redemption. For example, in Luke 9:57-62, Jesus calls for complete commitment, saying, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and then looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Bible, Book of Luke, Chapter 9, Verse 62) In Judaism, allegiance to God involves honoring the covenant mediated by prophets like Moses. This includes adhering to the commandments and teachings found in the Torah. Deuteronomy 17:14-20 outlines the responsibilities of a king chosen by God, emphasizing the need for the king to follow God's law and lead the people accordingly. In Shia Islam, allegiance to the Imams, considered the rightful successors of the Prophet Muhammad, has been a crucial aspect of the faith. The followers of these Imams pledged their loyalty, recognizing their spiritual and temporal authority. This allegiance provided guidance and a sense of continuity in the leadership of the Muslim community, especially during times of political turmoil and fragmentation. For example, the Prophet Muhammad emphasized the importance of allegiance to the Imam of one's time, saying, "Whoever dies and doesn’t pledge allegiance to the Imam of his time has died the death of ignorance." (Al-Aql wa Al-Jahl fi Al-Kitab wa Al-Sunnah, Mohammed Al-Reyshahri, p. 275) This saying highlights the ongoing commitment expected from believers to their spiritual leaders. Additionally, narrations state that pledging allegiance to the Mahdi, a future leader in Islamic eschatology, is a divine obligation. It is said that when the Mahdi emerges, believers are to pledge their allegiance even "if crawling on ice," as he will bring justice and equity to the world. Why Divine Allegiance and not Allegiance to a State? Allegiance to God is not just about spiritual and moral obligations; it also encompasses practical responsibilities that mirror those required by secular governments. This comprehensive form of allegiance can lead to tangible benefits, such as protection, infrastructure, and social services within a divinely guided state. However, failure to comply with divine expectations can result in severe consequences, impacting not only this world but also the afterlife. Believers are required to fulfill various practical duties as part of their allegiance to God. These include obeying laws, paying taxes, and participating in civic responsibilities, which are integral to maintaining order and justice within a religious community. For example, in Islam, adherence to Sharia law involves ethical behavior, social justice, and economic fairness. Paying zakat (charity), observing legal injunctions, and engaging in communal activities are seen as expressions of faith and obedience to God. Similarly, in Christianity, followers are taught to "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's" (Matthew 22:21). This indicates a dual responsibility to fulfill both civic duties and spiritual commitments. The Torah in Judaism also outlines commandments that govern both religious practices and societal obligations, emphasizing justice, charity, and community responsibility. Pledging allegiance to God offers profound benefits, especially within a divine just state. God's system is fundamentally just, wise, and compassionate. When it comes to war, for instance, there exists a warrior class—individuals who are prepared, willing, and dedicated to the cause. Their lives are devoted to this duty, and they are equipped and ready for battle. True justice means placing things in their rightful place, and sending a disabled person to war is the last place they should be. It is ruthless and heartless. Under a divine system, those too young, too old, or otherwise unfit for war would not be conscripted, ensuring that only those within the warrior class take on this burden. This compassionate approach is one of the benefits of pledging allegiance to God. Furthermore, pledging allegiance to God transcends temporal authority. Unlike a pledge to a government, which is temporary and limited, a pledge to God is to a wise and everlasting being who surpasses the abilities of any human government. This pledge confirms one's faith and dedication to the Creator, who holds power over both this world and the hereafter. We must question to whom we dedicate our lives. Should we pledge allegiance to oppressive governments that prioritize their self-interests and lack genuine concern for the people? Their power is fleeting and limited to this world. In contrast, pledging allegiance to God offers a promise of justice and compassion that extends beyond this life. Our allegiance to God is expressed through His representative, who in today's age is the Qaim Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem. This ruler is infallible and guided by divine inspiration. Unlike earthly governments, he doesn't rule because he has aspirations of power or wealth. He has no ulterior motives. He is chosen by god because he truly cares about what is best for the people. And today he is calling everyone to pledge allegiance to him to help him build a Divine Just State .
- Algerians Raise the Banner of Faith in Spain
In the streets of Spain, a group of believers from the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL) has been working with unwavering faith to spread their message of truth, peace, and divine unity. These Ansar—followers of the call of Aba Al-Sadiq—are inspired by their mission to establish a Divine Just State on Earth. Among them are Youssra Bezai, Saliha Salma, Soumia Foufa, Rafik Lombarkia, and Mihoub Salma, who exemplify the resilience and determination of those who endure persecution for their beliefs. The journey of these Algerian Ansar has been far from easy. In 2023, some were placed under house arrest in Algeria for simply gathering to discuss their faith. Branded as heretics for embracing the 7th and final covenant of God, they faced accusations of apostasy, social ostracization, and severe restrictions. Practices such as the optional wearing of the hijab, the absence of obligatory Friday prayers, and a permissive stance on moderate alcohol consumption were used to vilify their beliefs. Denied the freedom to practice their religion, many were subjected to harassment and were barred from work, reducing them to virtual prisoners in their own homes. Despite Algeria's constitutional guarantees of freedom of belief under Article 36 and its commitments to international human rights standards, these promises were not upheld. The Ansar's plight echoes the Quranic verse: "They wish to extinguish Allah's light with their mouths, but Allah will certainly perfect His light, even to the dismay of the disbelievers." (Qur’an, Chapter 61 (As-Saf), Verse 8) Others fled to Turkey, seeking safety after facing familial and societal persecution, especially following the publication of The Goal of the Wise and the public recognition of Aba Al-Sadiq's divine call. Yet, even in Turkey, they encountered prejudice and restrictions, prompting a perilous journey to Europe. Among the 104 asylum seekers, many faced violent pushbacks at the Bulgarian border, enduring detention under harsh conditions despite the support of over 25 human rights organizations. Months later, after experiencing physical and mental hardship, they found refuge in Spain—a nation that acknowledged their suffering and granted them asylum. Now settled in Spain, these Ansar enjoy newfound liberty to practice their faith openly and share their beliefs. Free from the fear of persecution, wrongful arrest, or threats to their families, they can live authentically, spreading the call of the divine mission. In their missionary efforts, the Ansar distribute flyers and engage with communities to raise awareness about the message of Aba Al-Sadiq and his Divine Manifesto. They emphasize the universal mission to unite humanity, transcending differences to establish the kingdom of heaven on Earth. Their journey reflects the prophetic words of scripture: "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man; the field is the world, and the good seed are the children of the kingdom." (Bible, Book of Matthew, Chapter 13, Verse 38) As they walk through Spanish cities, these Ansar embody Isaiah's vision: "He lifts a banner for the distant nations and whistles for those at the ends of the earth. Behold—how speedily and swiftly they come." (Bible, Book of Isaiah, Chapter 5, Verse 26) Their work, inspired by a mission to heal divisions and establish divine justice, serves as a testament to faith's enduring power. Through hardship and resilience, the Ansar remind the world of the transformative potential of belief and the universal call to peace and light.
- Op-ed: Where Iran went Wrong
God says in the Holy Quran: “And those who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back.” (Qur’an, Chapter 42 (Al-Shura), Verse 227) Oppression, tyranny, crime, terror, massacres, executions, corruption, warmongering, lies, hypocrisy, and deceit—these are all words that can clearly describe the system and government that, under the guise of Islam and Shiism, has taken control of Iran today. The so-called "Islamic Republic of Iran" might be better termed the "Satanic Republic of Iran" because this regime is based on a self-created ideology called Velayat-e Faqih (or, more accurately, Velayat-e Safih, the "Guardianship of the Fool"). This completely contradicts the teachings of Islam and the infallible Imams. The Ahlul Bayt of the Prophet Muhammad have explicitly rejected any government led by a non-infallible (meaning anyone other than the Prophet or his rightful successors who are appointed by God). We all know that the past and present leaders of the so-called Islamic Republic of Iran—namely, Ruhollah Khomeini and Ali Khamenei —are not Infallibles and are not among the true successors mentioned in the will of the Prophet Muhammad. Imam Al-Sadiq said: "Avoid Rulership! Rulership is only for the Imam who has knowledge of judgment and is just among Muslims; rulership belongs to the Prophet or his successor." (Al-Kafi, Al-Shaikh Al-Kulayni, Vol. 7, p. 406) Many of you may wonder how Ruhollah Khomeini (the former leader of the so-called Islamic Republic of Iran) came to power, established his authoritarian regime in Iran, and how the leaders of this oppressive system commit such acts of injustice and crime. In brief, before 1979, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (the second Shah of the Pahlavi dynasty) was the king of Iran. However, the U.S. government lost hope in Mohammad Reza Shah , and secret communications and agreements between the Shia religious authority Ruhollah Khomeini and the U.S. government enabled Khomeini to incite widespread protests against the Pahlavi monarchy by appealing to the religious beliefs of the Iranian people, who are mostly Shia Muslims. Ultimately, on February 11, 1979, the Pahlavi monarchy was completely overthrown by the deceived and oppressed people of Iran, falling into the hands of Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the so-called Islamic Republic. Ruhollah Khomeini, who had become a revered figure among Muslims in the Middle East, especially among Iranians, claimed that his uprising and revolution were led in the name of Imam Mahdi and promised to hand over the banner of the so-called Islamic Republic to Imam Mahdi (Memoirs, Ray Shahri, Islamic Revolution Document Center, Vol. 1, p. 242 ). However, once he had seized absolute power, he issued a fatwa stating that preserving his impure and loathsome government was more important than even the life of a single person, including Imam Mahdi (Sahifeh-ye Imam, Ruhollah Khomeini, Vol. 15, p. 365), openly declaring that he would be willing to kill Imam Mahdi for the sake of maintaining his regime. Khomeini's deceit, hypocrisy, and duplicity were astonishing, to the extent that the Shia people of Iran were misled by him and failed to heed the words of the Ahlul Bayt of Prophet Muhammad, who had said that any banner raised before the appearance of the Qa’im would be led by a tyrant. Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir said: “Any banner raised before the appearance of the Qa’im is led by a tyrant.” (Kitab Al-Ghayba, Al-Numani, Vol. 1, p. 115) Exactly as it may cross your mind, Khomeini was allied with the Americans and falsely claimed that he would hand over the banner to Imam Mahdi. According to the words of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir that we mentioned earlier, Ruhollah Khomeini was indeed a tyrant and a deceiver... Every day, Ruhollah Khomeini carried out crimes and anti-Shia corruption that were worse and more despicable than the day before—from provoking Saddam into an eight-year war with Iran to the brutal executions of the summer of 1988. The 1988 executions in Iran revealed Khomeini's true face to the world. This brutal event was a horrific massacre where, under Khomeini’s orders, thousands of Iranian political and ideological prisoners were secretly executed in the prisons of the so-called Islamic Republic of Iran during the months of August and September 1988 and were buried in mass graves. This incident was so appalling that Khomeini’s former successor and deputy, Hossein Ali Montazeri, protested against Khomeini’s savage order and condemned this crime as the greatest atrocity in the history of the Islamic Republic ( Leaked Audio of the 1988 Summer Execution Council ). Following the death of Ruhollah Khomeini in 1989, the criminal regime of the Satanic Republic passed into the hands of Ali Khamenei (the current leader of Iran), whose crimes and acts of terror, both inside and outside of Iran, far surpass those of Ruhollah Khomeini. Having tasted the allure of absolute power and immense wealth, Ali Khamenei presented himself as the "Guardian of All Muslims Worldwide," declaring that allegiance to his corrupt regime was akin to allegiance to the Prophet Mohammed , even though the Ahlul Bayt of the Prophet Muhammad and the infallible Shia Imams have explicitly opposed and cursed this kind of hypocritical allegiance. Imam Sadiq said to his companion Mufaddal ibn Umar: “O Mufaddal, any allegiance pledged before the appearance of the Qa’im is an allegiance of disbelief, hypocrisy, and deceit. God curses both the one who pledges allegiance and the one who takes it.” (Al-Hidaya Al-Kubra, Vol. 1, p. 392) Ali Khamenei, through his brutal crimes, strives to sustain his regime while tearing apart the wealth of Iran and Iranians like ravenous hyenas. In the 46 years since the establishment of the so-called Islamic Republic, the regime has killed approximately 2,400 innocent Iranians during street protests. According to reports, around 1,500 of these deaths occurred under Ali Khamenei’s orders during the widespread protests against fuel price hikes in 2019 . Today, the so-called Islamic Republic of Iran, led by Ali Khamenei, has become a safe haven and supporter for terrorist groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, the Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi), Ansar Allah in Yemen, and others. The government diverts the annual income of impoverished Iranians to support these paramilitary and terrorist groups, aiming to secure its corrupt regime . Meanwhile, millions of impoverished Iranians live in dire conditions, and whenever these oppressed people protest, they face severe repression by Iran’s security agencies. Most importantly, Ali Khamenei continued Ruhollah Khomeini’s hostility toward Imam Mahdi in the worst possible way. With the appearance of the successor and messenger of Imam Mahdi, the Qa’im of the family of Muhammad, Aba Sadiq Abdullah Hashem, and the joining of hundreds of Iranians to support the Qa’im, Khamenei began oppressing and persecuting the innocent followers of the Qa’im, Aba Sadiq Abdullah Hashem, in Iran. Yes, Khomeini verbally issued the fatwa, and Khamenei brutally acted upon it. Khomeini claimed he would kill Imam Mahdi to preserve his regime, and Khamenei followed through, beginning to imprison , torture , and even sentence followers of the Qa’im to death , referring their cases to the most dangerous court in Iran, directly overseen by him—the Special Clerical Court. We reiterate here that, yes, you heard correctly: the so-called Islamic Republic of Iran, which claims to be Shia and a follower of Imam Mahdi, today stands against Imam Mahdi, the Qa’im of the family of Muhammad, Aba Sadiq Abdullah Hashem, and his innocent followers in Iran, treating them in the worst possible way. The prince of the believers, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, reported that Prophet Muhammad said: “A people will come who will abandon Islam as swiftly as an arrow leaves the bow. They will recite the Quran, yet it will not go beyond their throats. Blessed are those who kill them or are killed by them. Their sign is their leader, who will have a crippled, injured hand.” (Musnad Ahmed ibn Hanbal, Ahmed ibn Hanbal, Musnad of Ali ibn Abi Talib, Hadith 1305) If we were to write about the oppression and crimes of the so-called Islamic Republic of Iran and its leaders against Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and the people of Iran, we would fill many books and magazines. For now, we leave you with this summary.
- How to Debate any Shia—And Win
I have had the opportunity to debate hundreds of Shia Muslims over the years—on TikTok, social media, and satellite TV. Here are the questions almost any Shia will ask you, along with their answers: There is only one Mahdi and that is Mohammed ibn Al Hassan Al Askari! If you believe the Quran is distorted, then how can we trust the will? Where are his miracles so we can believe in him? (The Yasir Al-Habib Phenomena) Where is the Mahdi? I want to go to him or see him! Who is the Yamani and how do I recognise him? Who is the companion of Egypt? How can I believe in your Mahdi if he changes the jurisprudence of the Prophet Mohammed? You are not Shia! These eight statements come up time and time again, so let’s address them. 1: There is only one Mahdi and that is Mohammed ibn Al Hassan Al Askari! In order to know whether this statement is true or false, we need to ask the holy prophet and his household this very important question: How many Mahdis are there? Let's see what the Ahlul Bayt have said about this matter: 1. In Bihar Al-Anwar, Vol 53, we find door 30:“The caliphs of the Mahdi and what would happen after him.” On the authority of Abu Basir, he said: "I said to Al-Sadiq Jaafar bin Mohammed: O son of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers, I heard from your father, that he said: After the Qaim, there will be twelve Mahdis. He said: He only said: Twelve Mahdis, and he did not say twelve Imams, but they are some of our Shia who call on people to support us and know our rights." 2. And also more than 1 Mahdi is mentioned in the book of Ghaybat Al-Tusi: "On the authority of Abu Abdullah, in a long hadith that he said: Oh Abu Hamza: After the Qaim, there will be eleven Mahdis from among the descendants of Al-Hussein." (Ghaybat Al-Tusi, Al-Tusi, Vol. 1, Chapter 52, Hadith 504) As you can see, the Ahlul Bayt have historically informed us that there will be twelve Mahdis after the Imams. Now, let’s provide one more proof for the existence of these individuals, which we will discuss in more detail later in this article. 3. The most important evidence for the 12 men titled the "Mahdis", is the will of the prophet Mohammed, the document about which the prophet said, “Bring me a pen and paper and I shall write for you a document after which you will never be misguided again, ” in the Calamity of Thursday narration. This writing mentions the twelve Mahdis clearly, as we see in the book of Ghaybat Al-Tusi, where the prophet dictates his will to Imam Ali: The Messenger of God dictated his will until he reached this place and said: O Ali, there will be twelve Imams after me and after them twelve Mahdis… So those are twelve imams, then there will be twelve Mahdis after him, (so when death approaches him) let him hand it over to his son, the first of those close to him. He has three names: a name like my name and the name of my father, and he is Abdullah and Ahmad, and the third name: the Mahdi, he is the first of the believers.” (Ghaybat Al-Tusi, Al-Tusi, Vol. 1, Chapter 26, Hadith 111) This will of prophet Mohammed was never previously mentioned by the scholars, despite its existence. Yet it serves as a major proof for the legitimacy and infallibility of the Imams, emphasizing their divine appointment as successors and guides for the Muslim community. It should be an important document for every Shia to read. Yet is it ignored in mainstream Shia Islam, because it undeniably states that there is more than one Mahdi. 2: If you believe the Quran is distorted, then how can we trust the will? “The problem with the notion of the will being corrupt, is that there is no longer any religion, it’s done, it’s over. Because if the will is corrupt, it means nobody on the planet now knows, or has a way of knowing, who are Mohammed’s true successors, and if there is no way of identifying Mohammed’s true successors, then there's no way that God can legally, rightfully, justly, punish or hold anybody to account.” (Aba Al-Sadiq) The key issue here lies in the essential role of the will as a historical document, and as a logical evidence. The foundation of religion, contrary to common belief, is not solely based on an incorruptible physical book. Instead, it rests on the physical event of appointing divine successors. All Shia would agree, that prophet Mohammed left two weighty things behind. The Quran AND his Ahlul Bayt. A physical book is not enough to serve as a guidance for an entire nation. Every prophet has left a successor and publicly appointed him. Without this system of divine successorship, humanity would be left in a state of confusion. This is because there would be no clear way to recognize God's appointed representatives without it. Consequently, the absence of a divine appointment would invalidate the entire basis of accountability. God would no longer have a fair means of holding people accountable. How can he judge people that have no way of knowing, who the Imam or messenger of their time is? The Will represents more than a lineage or historical document; it is the thread that connects humanity directly to God’s guidance. Without it, the words of Mohammed, “Whoever dies without knowing the Imam of their time dies a death of ignorance,” ( Al-Kāfi - Volume 1, The Case of those who would Die without having an Imam from the Imams of Guidance, H3 ) would lose all meaning because it would mean that he did not leave us with a truly protected way to identify such an important character. Each prophet throughout history has provided a clear successor. God appointed Adam as His caliph in front of the angels. Moses appointed Aaron, and later Joshua. Jesus, in the Christian tradition, appointed Simon Peter as his successor. Similarly, Mohammed without a shadow of doubt identified Imam Ali as his successor. How? By direct appointment in Ghadeer Khum, but more officially by the will. The will is the very bedrock upon which divine succession rests. Without it, nothing remains but confusion. The Prophet assured that the will could not be falsified, corrupted, or misrepresented. Traditions from the Ahlul Bayt affirm that anyone who falsely claims the will would face divine retribution, effectively preventing misguidance. Imam Al-Sadiq said, “This matter will not be claimed except by the rightful owner, or else Allah will cut off his age.” (Al-Kafi, Al-Kulayni, Vol. 1, Book 4, Chapter 85, Hadith 5) For over 1400 years, no one has dared to claim this title except Ahmed Al-Hassan, and no one claimed to be ‘Abdullah’ in this will except Abdullah Hashem. Their unique position remains unchallenged, safeguarded against error, guiding those who follow with certainty. In trusting the will, we trust in a line unbroken by misguidance, preserved by God’s protection, and we know with clarity and confidence whom to support in this time. 3: Where are his miracles so we can believe in him? As for those who seek miracles, I have a simple request: Where did the family of the prophet tell us to ask for miracles from the Mahdi to prove himself? I ask the reader to contemplate for a moment, about the nature of miracles. How would most people who lack knowledge of magic, differentiate between magic and miracles? It is impossible to know. Therefore this methodology was never a means to identify the Imam of the time and was never mentioned as such… The Yasir Al-Habib phenomena For those who don’t know Yasir Al-Habib, he is a Shia religious scholar who addressed a question about our call in one of his online videos. In his response, he disregarded the proofs from the holy household, the signs that took place and much more. He said the following in a video online on YouTube . The video is in Arabic, but this is the gist of it: “Here I have a jar filled with all kinds of coins. We place this jar at the entrance to the mosque, and people fill it. Then we give this money as a donation. I don’t know how much money is in it, and no one in this room knows how much is in it. So, let their Imam call right now and tell us how much money is in the jar. And yes, we want to know how many of each coin are in there—for example, how many quarters are in the jar? Then, on camera right now, we will open the jar together and count it live on TV. If he’s correct, we will all believe, and I will be the first to pledge my allegiance.” With this request, he proved he lacks the correct understanding of how to identify the Imam. How? Yasir is asking the Imam to provide unseen knowledge, and according to Yasir, knowing how many coins are inside a jar represents divine knowledge. Therefore, he believes the authority of God belongs to such a person, and he is willing and ready to pledge his allegiance to that man. Let us debunk this entire concept with a single question. Keep in mind, a good question is half the answer: Can the jinn perform such a task? Of course they can. Jinn have amazing powers: They can make people fall in love, break up relationships, move objects, and travel to the heavens and back. If a jinn can bring the throne of Balqees in the Quran, One mighty jinn responded, “I can bring it to you before you rise from this council of yours. And I am quite strong and trustworthy for this task.” (Qur’an, Chapter 27 (An-Naml), Verse 39) … surely, the task of counting the coins would be as easy as looking inside the jar and counting them right then and there, then laughing at Yasir Al-Habib and those who follow him blindly, as he and his followers give their pledge of allegiance to a jinn who told them the number of coins inside his jar. Jokes aside, let’s just close this with, ‘While Amir Al-Momineen was addressing the people and he was saying: ‘Ask me before you lose me! By Allah! You will not ask me about anything past nor about anything to come into being, except I shall inform you all with it!’, Sa’ad Bin Abu Waqas stood up to him. He said, ‘O Amir Al-Momineen! Inform me, how many hairs are there in my head and my beard?’ He said to him: ‘But by Allah! You have asked me about an issue, my friend Rasool-Allah had narrated to me that you will be asking me about it, and there isn’t in your head and your beard any hair, except in its root is a Shaytan seated, and that in your house there is a goat who will be killing my son Al-Husayn, on that day, Umar Bin Sa’ad was crawling in front of him’’ (Bihar Al-Anwar, Al-Allamah Al-Majlisi, Vol. 31&44, Hadith 5&7) 4: Where is the Mahdi? I want to go to him or see him For the sake of discussion, imagine if I gave you the exact location of the man we believe in. You book your flight, spend money, and take time off work. You fly over to meet him, you arrive outside his house, knock on the door, and a man comes out to greet you. You say to him, "Husam told me this is where the Mahdi lives. Are you the Mahdi?" And imagine he replies, "Yes, I am." What would you do next? How would you know if this person is truly the Mahdi? Would your next question be, “How do I know you are the true Mahdi?” If so, keep reading. My point is: Just by seeing the Mahdi physically, you won't be able to know that he is the real Mahdi. Let’s start by saying that if we take our evidence from the narrations of the prophet and his holy household, there is no narration stating that when the Mahdi emerges from his occultation, every eye will see him. In fact, it’s quite the opposite; we find narrations indicating that two eschatological figures will appear before the Mahdi, tasked with gathering the believers' pledges to him. Let’s explore this further—please investigate along with me. The two end times characters are: The Yamani and the Companion of Egypt. 5: Who is the Yamani and how do we recognise him? The Yamani is the companion of the most guided of banners as mentioned by the Ahlul Bayt: “There is no banner among the banners more guided than the banner of the Yamani. It is a banner of guidance because he calls to your companion. If the Yamani comes out, it is forbidden to sell weapons to people and every Muslim. And if the Yamani comes out, stand up to join him, for his banner is a banner of guidance. And it is not permissible for a Muslim to turn away from him, so whoever does that is one of the people of Hell, because he calls to the truth and a straight path.” ( Kitab Al-Ghayba, Al-Numani, The signs preceding the Appearance, Hadith 13 ) The Yamani’s mission is to invite people towards the cause of the Imam. He is depicted as a mysterious figure in the narrations. Ask any scholar you know, “How would we recognize the Yamani?” and you’ll hear some of the weakest arguments attributed to the family of the holy prophet—arguments that lack clarity or consensus. There is no clear guidance on how to recognize the Yamani without using the principle of knowing the proof of God, which Imam Ahmed Al-Hasan, the Yamani, introduced when he appeared in 1999 as a messenger from the Twelfth Imam. Yes, we believe that the Yamani is Imam Ahmed Al-Hasan, a man who has exposed falsehood and prepared the way to fulfill God’s mission on earth. 6: Who is the companion of Egypt and how do we recognise him? The Companion of Egypt is another end times figure of Shia Islam, who builds the media platform of the Mahdi: I heard the prince of believers and he was complaining, and I was standing next to him: ‘I will build a pulpit in Egypt and Damascus would be broken rock by rock, and the Jews and the Christian will be expelled from every town of the Arabs, and I shall usher the Arabs with this stick of mine!’ He (the narrator) said, ‘I said to him, ‘O prince of the believers! It is as if you are informing that you will be living afterwards, you will not be dying!’ He said: ‘Far be it, O Abaya! You have gone another way. It will be done by a man from me.’’ (Bihar Al-Anwar, Al-Allamah Al-Majlisi, Vol. 53, Chapter 29, Hadith 47) Pulpits in those times represented media, as the pulpit was the primary source of news and cultural ideology. This means the Companion of Egypt would establish a media platform, just as Aba Al-Sadiq has done. His media platform spans from the Arrivals and TADS projects to the present day, where he operates two satellite channels broadcasting to Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and parts of Asia. These channels engage the public directly through esoteric lectures from the School of Divine Mysteries, daily debates, and discussions. Additionally, there is a social media platform, which includes the magazine you are reading right now. The narrations presented above, along with many others, affirm that the matter of the Mahdi does not begin when he emerges from his occultation; rather, it starts with the emergence of two key figures: the Yamani and the Egyptian. They represent the dawah (invitation or call) to pledge allegiance to the Imam before his public appearance. It is crucial to save oneself from dying the death of ignorance during this time. We know from the narrative that when the Twelfth Imam's major occultation is over, only 12 people will directly see him, in secret. These individuals are the ones commanded by the Imam to go public and announce the glad tidings of the end of the major occultation: Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq said: “Al-Qa’im will not appear until after twelve men will rise and agreed upon that they have seen him but they will be considered as liars.” (Kitab Al-Ghayba, Al-Numani, The signs preceding the Appearance, Hadith 58) So the real answer to the question, “Where is the Imam? I want to go to him or see him” is: First know these two characters, because they are the only way, door, and path to reaching Mohammed son of Al-Hassan Al-Askari. If you urgently want to know more about the Yamani and the Egyptian, read the Mahdi’s Manifesto which clearly explains the way: https://theahmadireligion.org/ Or watch the videos from Aba Al-Sadiq on the YouTube channel, @TheMahdiHasAppeared : How to Identify Imam Mahdi How NOT to Identify Imam Mahdi 7: How can I believe in your Mahdi if he changes the jurisprudence of the prophet Mohammed? First, let us ask the Prophet Mohammed this question: “By what way (sunnah) will the Mahdi walk?” The answer will surely be: “On the way (sunnah) of the prophets.” If someone comes with a sunnah other than theirs, they are undoubtedly a false deceiver. One major misconception shared by both Shia and Sunni Muslim sects is that they all believe the Mahdi, upon his appearance, will agree with their specific sect’s teachings. They also believe that the Mahdi will correct others to align with their way of Islam. Meanwhile, the Ismailis already have an Imam who is concerned about the next successor, which arguably demonstrates a lack of divine protection. Let us become aware of this narration if we have not heard it before, and remember it if we have: “….Then he said: ‘The Jews differed, from after Moses and separated into seventy-one sects, one of which will be in the Paradise and seventy sects would be in the Fire. And the Christians separated, from after Jesus into seventy-two sects, one of which would be in the Paradise and seventy-one of the sects would be in the Fire. And this community will separate after its Prophet into seventy-three sects. Seventy-two sects would be in the Fire and one sect would be in the Paradise. And from these seventy-three sects, thirteen would be of those who claim to be in our Wilayah and show affection to us. Twelve sects from these would be in the Fire and one sect would be in the Paradise. And sixty sects from the rest of the people would be in the Fire.” ( Al-Kafi, Al-Kulayni, Vol. 8, Differences among the followers of Musa, Hadith 1 ) Having said that, when we return to the historical narrative that has reached us from Shia sources about the Mahdi, we find that he does change the jurisprudence and explains why he takes this significant action. “The Qaim/Riser shall rise with a new matter, and a new book, and a new jurisprudence/rule which will be hard for the Arabs.” (Kitab Al-Ghayba, Al-Numani, Vol. 1, p. 236) Keep in mind, that this was narrated from multiple sources such as Abdullah son of Atta’, Mohammed son of Muslim, Asim son of Humaid Al Hanat and others. As for why he does that? Abu Abdullah Al-Sadiq said: “He (Imam al-Mahdi) will act as the Prophet has acted. He will annul all what has been established before him as the Prophet has annulled all that has been established in the pre-Islamic age. He will resume Islam anew.” (Kitab Al-Ghayba, Al-Numani, Vol. 1, Chapter 13, Hadith 12) The Mahdi's approach aligns with that of prophets and messengers who historically implemented significant changes for certain reasons. Rather than attempting to repair a fundamentally flawed system, he introduces a fresh system. The true religious path will diverge from the fractured sects of the past, which have become irreconcilably divided. For those with understanding, the observation of the seemingly irreparable sectarian divide within the Shia branch of Islam leads to a further insight: historical narratives have been shaped by those in power. This realization compels truth seekers to question the integrity and pristine state of the jurisprudence throughout the complex and often turbulent Islamic history. Keep in mind that in countries such as Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, and others, sectarian-related fatalities in the 20th and 21st centuries may well exceed 300,000 to 500,000 deaths, including children, women, the elderly and young adults. The root cause of this tragic situation can be attributed to the persistent disregard by Islamic sects of the two weighty matters left by the Prophet. God’s Prophet said, “It seems that I have been called in and I have accepted the call. I will depart you, but will leave two weighty things with you one of which is greater than the other one. God’s Book that is a rope extended out from the heavens onto the Earth. The other one is my ‘Itrat (crown); my Household. Therefore watch and see how you treat these two after me.” ( Uyūn akhbār al-Riḍā, Al-Saduq, Vol. 2, Hadith 40 ) It may sound strange for a Shia to read this, but it is true - the holy household has left the Shia muslims for over 1200 years now. Evidence of this manifests in the divergent opinions among scholars in significant matters, such as the permissibility of using modern technology to determine the start of Ramadan. Furthermore, the lack of divinely inspired jurisprudence or guidance on modern issues—such as organ donation or the appropriate ages for children to use digital devices—underscores the absence of an Imam who provides divine jurisprudence and laws for our cultural and technological age. Given these circumstances, it is perfectly reasonable to expect that the Imam would “change” the jurisprudence and update laws to address modern realities. For instance, in a world that has largely moved beyond slavery, there is no need to be ruled by laws pertaining to that ancient and dying institution. The Imam does not just change jurisprudence, read this narration with me: Abu Ja’far al-Baqir said: “When the Riser of the Holy Household rises, he will divide the wealth equally and rule justly over the people. Whoever obeys him certainly obeys Allah and whoever disobeys him disobeys Allah. He is named as Mahdi because he guides to a hidden matter. He takes the Torah and the rest of the divine Books of Allah from the cave of Antakya (Antioch). He will judge among the people of the Torah with the Torah, among the people of the Bible with the Bible, among the people of Psalms (of Prophet David) with the Psalms and among the people of the Qur’an with the Qur’an.” ( Kitab Al-Ghayba, Al-Numani, Book 2, Chapter 13, Hadith 25 ) So the Imam rules people according to their own jurisprudence, the Christian by the Bible, the Jewish by the Torah and so on… but those who follow and believe him to be the Mahdi, will live under a seventh and final everlasting covenant. Statement 8: You are not Shia Firstly, the assertion is often presented to us as an accusation, or a disownment, and sometimes as a question but nevertheless, and with all due respect to the reader: the claim of being a Shia cannot be taken lightly nor accepted at face value, because the caliber of a true Shia to Allah and the Ahlul Bayt, is very high. In the Quran it says, “And indeed, one of his Shia was Abraham.” (Qur’an, Chapter 37 (As-Saffat), Verse 83) And the family of Mohammed in multiple narrations explain that being a Shia is not something that people are born as, like a culture or a religion: And a man said to Al-Husayn Bin Ali ‘O son of Rasool-Allah! I am from your Shias.’ He said: ‘Fear Allah and do not be claiming something which Allah the Exalted would be saying to you: “You lied and burst forth in your claim!” Our Shia are the ones who save their hearts from every deception, malice, and corruption. But say, ‘I am from those who befriend you and from those who love you.’ ( Bihar Al-Anwar, Al-Allamah Al-Majlisi, Vol. 65, p. 229 ) Here is a small list of sects claiming to be Shia today: Twelver Shia (Ithna Ashariyah) Usuli (believers in the science of man) Akhbari (not believers in the science of man) Ismaili Shia Nizari Ismailis Musta'li Ismailis (e.g., Dawoodi Bohra, Sulaymani) Zaidiyyah (Zaydi Shia) Alawites (Nusayris) Druze (related to Ismailism but distinct from mainstream Shia Islam) Bektashi Order (associated with Sufism and Shia thought) Each of these Shia sects possess distinct beliefs and practices, differentiating them from one another. This diversity raises questions weather each of them can represent true Shia Islam. This claim becomes particularly contentious when considered alongside the widespread calamities affecting their communities. The prevalence of such issues within their societies challenges their claim to the esteemed title "Shia of the holy household of Mohammed." Therefore, whenever an individual claims to be Shia, we have to question the authenticity of the claim, and what better way to test the authenticity of the claim than to examine the beliefs one holds and compare them to the teachings of the family of prophet Mohammed? After engaging with hundreds of Shia followers since 2015, it has become evident that the majority of the so-called Shia population do not actually know how to recognize their Mahdi upon his appearance. This widespread ignorance is a significant calamity, one primarily instigated by those who present themselves as scholars and grand signs of God (Ayatollahs). The Messenger of Allah said: A time will come upon the people when nothing will remain of the Qur'an except its form and of Islam except its name, they will be called by it and they are the farthest people from it, their mosques will be full but they will be empty of guidance, the jurists of that time will be the worst jurists under the shade of the sky, from them the strife will emerge and to them it will return. (Al-Kafi, Al-Kulayni, Vol. 8, Book 1, Hadith 479) So I urge you to research and investigate for yourselves rather than relying on the non-working scholars of the end times. No one can really deny that we are currently in the end times, except for those who are entirely unaware of global events. Such individuals will soon come to realize the reality of our situation. - This Secret Manuscript will Change the Way you View Islam Forever
Hidden deep within the records of Islamic mysticism lies a text long shrouded in secrecy: Al-Haft Al-Shareef . Written by Mufaddal ibn Omar, a close companion of Imam Ja’far Al-Sadiq, the book records conversations between himself and his master, delving into esoteric knowledge that goes beyond mainstream Islamic thought. It was written in the 8th century BC and yet, for hundreds of years Al-Haft Al-Shareef remained largely ignored by Islamic scholars, dismissed as heretical or inaccurate. But its secrecy and lack of recognition in mainstream Islamic circles appear to be intentional. Throughout the manuscript, great importance is placed on the need to safeguard the knowledge shared by Imam Ja’far Al-Sadiq. Imam Al-Sadiq emphasizes that the wisdom Al-Haft Al-Shareef contains is not meant for everyone. It is entrusted to Mufaddal, one of his closest companions, and reserved only for those who are true believers like him. Much of what is shared is highly controversial and therefore meant to be kept from those whose faith in God and his messengers is weak. After centuries, the manuscript recently resurfaced, brought to light by Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem through his YouTube series, TADS. His English translation of a manuscript that only existed in Arabic before, revived this long forgotten dialog, making the gnostic secrets contained in it available to an international audience. The manuscript delves into concepts such as reincarnation in Islam, the karmic justice of the universe and the creation of the souls— ideas that challenge and expand conventional Islamic theology. The last paragraph of Al-Haft Al-Shareef reads: "The book is called ‘Al Haft Al Shareef’ because it is the news of the beginning of creation and how its origins were, and about its end and how He detailed it and transferred the selves from condition to condition for the purpose of guidance. The end, and peace is the end." (Al-Haft Al-Shareef, Translated by Aba Al-Sadiq, p. 397) Al-Haft Al-Shareef is a deeply spiritual manuscript. It offers a different understanding and view of the world to the reader. It speaks of an eternal battle between good and evil, where those created from light are in constant struggle with those made from darkness. All that is good comes from the children of light, the believers, while all that is bad originates from the children of darkness, the disbelievers. “And everything that you see or hear or smell and has a good taste and a nice scent or soft touch, or food or drink, then that is from what disintegrated from the bodies of the believers. And everything opposite to that of the stinky and sour and unpleasant and all that humans hate to smell or look at or taste or touch in all conditions, that is from what disintegrates from the bodies of the disbelievers.” (Al-Haft Al-Shareef, Translated by Aba Al-Sadiq, Door 24, p. 115) The Soul’s Journey Perhaps the most striking teaching in Al-Haft Al-Shareef is its discussion of reincarnation, a belief foreign to mainstream Islam yet deeply embedded in the manuscript. Imam Al-Sadiq, as quoted by Mufaddal, explains that souls undergo cycles of rebirth, moving through many lifetimes in different forms—both human and animal. Each cycle of birth, death, and rebirth offers the soul a chance to grow, cleanse itself, and draw closer to its divine origin. But it is also an opportunity for the unrighteous to descend deeper and deeper into darkness. Al-Haft Al-Shareef does not only introduce the concept of reincarnation to Islamic thought, but it also reveals how the Quran contains verses that clearly point to the concept. “Say: Travel through the earth and see how Allah did originate creation; so will Allah produce a later creation: for Allah has power over all things.” (Qur’an, Chapt er 29 ( Al-Ankabut ), Ve rses 20-21) Imam Al-Sadiq interprets this verse as evidence of the cyclical nature of creation and rebirth. Punishment and mercy, he teaches, manifest through repeated incarnations until the soul ultimately returns to God. The life a soul lives in each reincarnation reflects the deeds of its past. Those wronged in previous lives will see justice unfold in future ones, where the oppressors, even reborn as animals, face the consequences of their actions. “He brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living.” (Qur’an, Ch apter 10 ( Yunus ), Ve rse 31) This is one of the verses that according to Al-Haft Al-Shareef , refers to reincarnation - particularly the reincarnation of a soul from a human body into an animal body. The text explains that humans who act unrighteously and do not submit to God, go through cycles of what is called Maskh or reincarnation in animal bodies. “We have indeed created man in the best of molds. Then do We return him (to be) the lowest of the low.” (Qur’an, Ch apter 95 (At-Tin), Ve rses 4-5) Al-Haft Al-Shareef details many different forms of Maskhs and describes in explicit detail a system of reincarnation into animal bodies. The most unrighteous of people are said to reincarnate as animals that are halal (permissible for consumption), such as sheep, cows, and camels. In these forms, they face a dual punishment. They are slaughtered by the enemies of God, who use them for selfish purposes, and are also sacrificed by believers during sacred rituals and holidays. With every death and slaughter they receive punishments for their sins. Al-Haft Al-Shareef unveils a hidden layer of Islam, one that goes beyond mechanical interpretations of the mainstream. It whispers of mystical truths that have been lost over time, truths that many scholars dismissed because they could not understand them. These teachings bridge Islam to other faiths that may seem unrelated, like Hinduism, yet in reality share the same divine source. Like Al-Haft Al-Shareef , the Hindu scripture Bhagavad Gita also speaks of souls being reborn as animals if they are weighed down by ignorance or wrongdoing. In the Gita, Krishna says: “Those who die in the mode of passion are born among those engaged in fruitive activities; and those dying in the mode of ignorance are born in the animal kingdom.” ( Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 14, Verse 15) The Stars But what do the reincarnating souls look like? Throughout history, humanity has gazed at the stars and planets, not merely as celestial bodies but as spiritual entities. In light of this, one of the mystical chapters of Al-Haft Al-Shareef teaches that the souls of believers are in fact the stars and planets in the sky. When Mufaddal asked Imam Al-Sadiq about the piercing stars in the sky, the Imam revealed: “Those stars are the light bodies that were made for believers from their works...and they are the bodies of the honored light beings.” (Al-Haft Al-Shareef, Translated by Aba Al-Sadiq, Door 30, p. 143) This connection between stars and souls finds confirmation in other sacred texts. In Surah Yusuf in the Quran, the sun, moon, and eleven stars in Joseph’s dream symbolize his family—his father Jacob, his mother Rachel, and his brothers. Similarly in the gnostic Gospel of Judas, Jesus reveals to Judas the connection between his soul and its star, saying, “ Your star has ascended, and your heart has strayed. ” This passage suggests that each soul has a celestial counterpart, a star in the heavens that guides and reflects its earthly journey. Imam Al-Sadiq explains that the planets “appear that way in disguise for those that are unlike them,” suggesting that their true nature is hidden from the unworthy. Secrets of the Battle of Karbala In around 680 CE Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, and his small group of companions were martyred in the tragic battle of Karbala. Taking place on the plains of Karbala in present-day Iraq, this battle became a timeless symbol of sacrifice and resistance in the face of oppression. While this battle is a famous event known to all Muslims, Al-Haft Al-Shareef sheds light on the hidden dimensions of its tragedy, revealing a mystical interpretation of Imam Hussein’s martyrdom. According to Al-Haft Al-Shareef : “So when they gathered on Al-Hussein to slaughter him, he left his body and Allah raised him unto Himself and prevented the enemies from him.” (Al-Haft Al-Shareef, Translated by Aba Al-Sadiq, Door 40, p. 191) This revelation challenges the conventional understanding of Karbala’s events. It suggests that Imam Hussein did not suffer physically in the way many believe. Instead, his soul ascended to heaven, leaving his body behind as a vessel. According to the manuscript, God’s mercy is so great that He would never allow His prophets and messengers to endure such intense suffering. This idea is similar to the Islamic belief about Jesus, who, according to the Quran, was not truly crucified but only appeared to be. The Qur'an says: "And [for] their saying, 'Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.' And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but it was made to appear so to them." (Qur’an, Chapter 4 (Al-Nisa), Verse 157) Just like Jesus was not truly crucified, Hussein was not really beheaded. His soul and essence had left his body. And it was an empty vessel that endured the pain. Inheritance in the Soul World Not only does Al-Haft Al-Shareef describe the journey of the soul and what it looks like but it also reveals the relationships between them. It reveals that those who believe in God and live righteous lives are made from the same divine light, creating a bond that transcends physical ties. As the book beautifully states: "The believer becomes the brother of the believer from his father and mother, for mercy is his mother and his father is light." (Al-Haft Al-Shareef, Translated by Aba Al-Sadiq, Door 24, p. 115) It points out that these relationships are far deeper and more meaningful than the connections formed by blood. But this insight is only the beginning. Al-Haft Al-Shareef prophesied that one of the defining signs of the Qa'im, the savior of the end times, is his ability to reveal the mysteries of the soul world and its relationships. This understanding would serve as the ultimate proof of his identity, a sign no one else could provide. The text says: "Verily, God chose between the souls in the shadows and then made them enter the bodies, and if our Qa'im emerges, he shall make the brother inherit from the brother whom God paired him with in the shadows, and he does not make him inherit from his physical brother. Know him from that." (Al-Haft Al-Shareef, Translated by Aba Al-Sadiq, Door 66, p. 367) All those who take the words of the Ahlul Bayt seriously should ask: Who has come with the knowledge of the souls and its relationship? Only Aba Al-Sadiq has fulfilled this prophecy, bringing the hidden knowledge of the soul world to light while at the same time claiming to be the Qa’im of Ale Mohammed. A Man from Basra Al-Haft Al-Shareef has therefore proven to be not only a manuscript revealing mystical knowledge but also a book safeguarded to help truth-seekers in the end-times recognize the Qa’im, the Imam and savior of their time. In addition to mentioning the ultimate proof of his identity, the manuscript also lists several signs of the rise of the Qa’im. One distinct sign is the appearance of a man from Al-Basra. This man is said to be from the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad. While describing the signs of the appearance of the Qa'im it states: “The coming down of soldiers on the shore of Sihan of Al-Basra. And there comes out on the shore of the Tigris River from Al-Basra a man from the sons of my Father. He wants to enter it but he is prevented from that by the most severe of preventions. And he returns leaving it, and the armies of Bani Mardas gather against him.” (Al-Haft Al-Shareef, Translated by Aba Al-Sadiq, Door 65, p. 353) This prophecy points clearly to Imam Ahmed Al-Hassan, the only man from Basra who has claimed to be a descendant of the Prophet in the realm of the soul. This quote has historical significance as it became a significant sign for many believers in 2012, leading them to believe in Ahmed Al-Hassan after Aba Al-Sadiq released an English translation of Al-Haft Al-Shareef . Aba Al-Sadiq has called Al-Haft Al-Shareef “one of the greatest books ever written” and “one of the most authentic and reliable books in Muslim history.” While he confirms that there are minor distortions in the text, its core teachings remain intact. Al-Haft Al-Shareef offers deep insights into the mysteries of creation, the soul, and divine justice. For centuries, this mystical book was only available in Arabic, its secrets hidden from non-Arabic speakers. Now it is available only for any truth seeker to download and read. Though not entirely free from errors, the book is a valuable resource for understanding many concepts central to the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light. Many parents, overwhelmed by work or emotional challenges, often give their babies or toddlers access to the TV, tablet, or phone without supervision, using these devices as a "pacifier" to calm them during periods of crying, tantrums, or when they are overly active. However, many may not realize the significant impact that screen time can have on young children's development. Parents should be aware of these risks and strive to create an environment with limited screen use for young children. The evidence presented demonstrates the effects of screen exposure on healthy child development. Most of the negative effects discussed occur even in environments where parents ensure the content is appropriate for their children. This includes limiting screen time to no more than 1 hour per day ( 4 ) , restricting full access to the internet or YouTube Kids (as even YouTube Kids can be potentially dangerous for children ( 5 ), and preventing access to adult content or violent material. Part One: 0 to 6-year-olds It is not possible for young children to use these devices in a beneficial way. Even educational programs like Baby Einstein ( 6 ) or Ms. Rachel ( 7 ) do not produce positive results for young children ( 8 ). Yes, it is possible to avoid certain negative effects and even reverse them, but only under adult supervision ( 9 ). This means that an adult is guiding the children in understanding the images and ensuring that what they are watching is appropriate for them. We know that each child reacts differently: for example, some may become frightened by spiders and need reassurance to calm down, otherwise they won't benefit from the experience. In fact, it could have the opposite effect. Additionally, it's unrealistic to expect a child to self-regulate and stop watching by themselves. Just think about the last time you binge-watched Netflix all night, fully aware that you had important tasks to handle the next day. If that's the case for adults, how can we expect children to manage their impulses? Effects of Screens on your Children Ninety percent of children with developmental difficulties are overexposed to screens ( 10 ). A child's brain is genetically programmed to speak, walk, and concentrate, but beyond that, environmental factors play a crucial role. Since the COVID-19 lockdowns, there has been an explosion in autistic-like symptoms due to early electronic screen exposure ( 11 ). Indeed many parents working from home were unaware of the side effects of screen overexposure on young children. This issue has become a health crisis affecting developing countries, and in France, a commission set up to assess the impact of children's exposures to screens presented a report to President Macron on May 4, 2024, addressing this serious and sensitive issue that impacts the core of our families and society ( 12 ). Screens primarily develop the area of the brain used for attention without concentration. For instance, you might turn your head if you see something moving, hear a sound, or react to an unpleasant smell - all instinctive actions requiring no effort. Similarly, screens have a powerful ability to captivate children's attention through sounds, changing colors, rapidly shifting images, and engaging speech patterns. This creates a hypnotic effect that effortlessly draws and holds a child's focus. As a result, children may be visually engaged but not actively processing or learning from the content. The problem is that ideally the brain needs to learn how to concentrate and become focused without any external stimulation. This is exactly what we need for learning how to read, write, do maths, or even critical thinking. That’s the reason why there will be difficulties learning anything, because learning requires effort ( 13 ),( 14 ). Common Sense: you are what you do! The brain development of young children is heavily influenced by their experiences, involving real-world, three-dimensional interactions. Crucial neural connections are formed when children engage their senses and bodies in hands-on activities. For instance, the development of fine hand motor skills requires physical experiences like lifting, pressing, sliding, and pushing objects. Unfortunately, excessive screen time can interfere with this developmental process. For example, some 3-year-olds struggle to hold a pen due to limited hands-on experiences. When children spend hours using only their thumbs on devices, it primarily stimulates the brain areas responsible for thumb movements ( 15 ), potentially at the expense of other important skills. This imbalance can lead to developmental delays. Screen exposure often deprives young children of essential developmental activities, such as face-to-face interactions with parents, and exploration of their environment through the senses, all of which can hinder the formation of important brain connections. Worse, the constant visual and auditory stimulation from cartoons may create less beneficial neural pathways, potentially resulting in language delays ( 16 ) and decreased IQ. Mathematics and Early Exposure to Screens Learning mathematics begins at a very young age, often through play and activities like stacking blocks, creating groups of objects, or engaging with parents in simple counting exercises. These playful experiences are crucial for developing the prerequisites of mathematical understanding. Indeed, the ability to group and organize objects is fundamental to grasping numerical concepts. Excessive screen time can potentially hinder this natural development of mathematical skills. Research has shown that children who watch 30 minutes of television daily, starting from 29 months of age, experience a significant 20% decrease in mathematical abilities by the time they reach 10 years old. Learning a language in children is fundamentally dependent on face-to-face interactions with other humans. This process can be observed in the earliest stages of a baby's life ( 17 ). A French study has revealed that children who are exposed to TV during family mealtimes experience a notable decrease in IQ, losing between 3 to 5 points. This decline is attributed to the reduction in verbal exchanges with parents and other family members. The study's findings are particularly alarming considering that mealtimes with TV can extend up to 90 minutes. What about Educational Programs? While many parents advocate for programs like Ms Rachel or other educational content, screen-based learning may not be as real-world interactions. When children watch educational programs, they often repeat words without fully understanding their meaning ( 18 ). When children learn words through a screen, those words don't stick and hold little value for them ( 19 ). As a result, children who rely heavily on screen-based educational content for language learning may experience delays in speech development or develop a limited vocabulary. Recent research has shed light on the significant amount of time infants under one year old spend watching television. On average, babies in this age group are exposed to about 50 minutes per day of TV, which accounts for approximately 10% of their waking hours and 15% of their free time , after excluding essential activities such as eating, washing, and dressing. Over a two-year period, this accumulated screen time amounts to roughly 600 hours , equivalent to about three-quarters of a year of preschool education. From a language development perspective, this extensive TV exposure has huge implications. During this critical period, infants potentially miss out on hearing approximately 200,000 utterances or over 850,000 words , which are crucial for their cognitive and linguistic growth. The root of this issue often lies in parental behaviour. When parents are engrossed in watching TV, they tend to interact less with their child, significantly affecting a child's language acquisition and overall development. The presence of background TV also reduces attention spans, results in fewer and lower-quality parent-child interactions and reduced performance in cognitive tasks ( 20 ). It is important for parents to understand that background TV can negatively impact their children's development, even if the child doesn't seem to be actively watching. The mere presence of TV noise and flickering images can be disruptive to a child's play, learning, and social interactions. These findings have implications for subsequent cognitive development ( 21 ). Additionally, young children may become distressed when exposed to adult-oriented content, such as news programs ( 22 ). Growing up in a Digital World The impact of adult screen use on children's development is significant. When adults are preoccupied with phones or laptops, they create a similar scenario of reduced engagement with children. Using devices as pacifiers can hinder a child's ability to self-regulate emotions. Instead of relying on screens during tantrums, adults should help children calm down ( 23 ), as this is a crucial exercise in emotional development. These efforts shape the child's brain and serve as examples for their future behaviour. It is essential to understand that primary caregivers should actively interact with children to facilitate language and behavioural development. These seemingly small, repetitive actions have substantial long-term impacts, either positive or negative, on the child's future as an adult. Furthermore, excessive screen time can have detrimental effects on children's vision. Increased indoor screen use promotes myopia, as children spend less time outdoors. In some Asian countries, myopia rates have reached 90% among children, despite its genetic origins. Additionally, the blue light emitted by screens is toxic to the retina. Experts warn of a potential epidemic of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) occurring in people as young as 40, whereas it typically affects individuals around 90 years old. The psychological impact of cartoons extends far beyond momentary enjoyment, influencing children's attitudes, beliefs, and behaviours in subtle yet significant ways. Children often imitate aggressive actions they observe in cartoons, particularly when such behaviours are rewarded or go unpunished ( 24 ). This tendency can shape a child's values and moral compass. Cartoons have the power to shape our values and morals, especially during childhood when individuals are most impressionable. Negative role models in animations can have detrimental effects, hindering the development of empathy and kindness and potentially instilling a sense of injustice in young minds. It is essential to consider the potential negative impact of cartoons that perpetuate stereotypes or glorify violence, as these can have lasting effects on a child's developing worldview and behaviour. Boredom plays a crucial role in children's development, promoting creativity and building perseverance. It is entirely normal and beneficial for children to experience periods of boredom. These moments provide opportunities for children to learn how to handle their emotions without constant distractions. Toys without predetermined uses offer many benefits for child development. For instance, a simple cube can transform into various objects in a child's imagination - it might become a truck, a car, a dice, or even an animal. This type of play encourages creative thinking, problem-solving, and imaginative exploration. The Effects of the Screens According to Age For children under 2 years old, screen exposure is associated with poorer language development and attentional ability. Between ages 2 and 6, screen time exceeding one hour per day, or television viewing for more than 30 minutes daily, often correlates with diminished cognitive, attentional, language, and socio-emotional performance. The French commission advises against exposing children under 3 to screens, including background television in rooms where children are present. It is recommended to avoid screen use entirely until the age of 6. If screens are used before this age, their use should be strictly limited, infrequent, and feature educational content with adult supervision. Children should never be left alone with screens. For children over 6 years old, the focus shifts towards moderate and controlled exposure to screens, emphasizing educational content. These guidelines aim to minimize potential negative impacts of excessive screen time on young children's development. Part Two: 6 to 16-year-olds What is the association between screen-based activities and academic performance among children and adolescents? A meta-analysis demonstrated a clear association between the duration of television viewing and video games with academic performance, showing that these screen-based activities do not contribute to improved grades ( 25 ). This raises an important question: given the detrimental effects on academic outcomes, why do parents continue to allow or even encourage their children to engage in these activities? Screen-based activities often consume time that children and adolescents should be spending studying or sleeping. Mathematical ability and language skills are not innate; they must be learned and developed. The foundation for mathematical thinking is laid in early childhood. Games and physical play provide children with crucial prerequisites for developing mathematical thinking. Understanding numbers and basic geometry comes through hands-on activities like stacking cubes or exploring the shapes of objects. These activities help children learn to group and understand essential skills for mathematical reasoning. Tablets and television do not provide the same opportunities for developing these foundational skills. For children aged 6 to 17, screen time exceeding two hours per day may be associated with decreased attentional abilities and lower reading and academic performance. However, it is stated that these findings require further confirmation, as the relationship can be complex and influenced by various factors. Among adolescents aged 15 to 18, frequent smartphone use (multiple times daily) has been linked to an increase in symptoms such as inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity. In response to these concerning trends, the commission made certain recommendations. While the commission guidelines are not those of AROPL, nor do they represent our view, they do highlight the need for significant measures for child safety. The commission recommended that children under the age of 11 should not have a mobile phone. If they do, phones should be limited to calls and SMS only, with no internet connectivity. For children aged 13 and older, phones may be allowed with controlled internet access. Permitted uses include watching videos, taking photos/videos, and playing games. Access to social media and illegal content should be blocked. Starting at age 15, considered the “digital age of maturity”, access to social networks should be limited to those with ethical standards. Popular platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and Facebook are not recommended due to potential risks. It is crucial to recognize mobile phones potential negative impacts on children's development and academic performance. Establishing age-appropriate guidelines for mobile phone use and screen exposure is essential. My recommendation, supported by the evidence, is as Imam Ahmed Al-Hassan has said. Imam Ahmed Al-Hassan has made a strong statement in this regard, saying that: “I do not accept at all that any child under the age of 14 holds or uses a mobile phone for any reason whatsoever. It is haram (forbidden) for them to do so. I do not accept it at all, ever, ever. Whoever wants to destroy his or her child give them a cell phone. This is such a bad thing that absolutely destroys a child's behaviour because the child by mistake can come across very bad clips on the phone which can shock the child and ruin his or her behaviour, and it is difficult to fix the matter in this age. These scenes will be engraved in their memories forever.” (Sayings of Imam Ahmed Al-Hassan, p. 18) The evidence we have presented supports this statement. I also recommend that parents take away their children's cell phones during the night until they reach the age of 18. - The Believer who Challenged a Philippine Sheikh
On November 23, 2024, Sheikh Abu Mahdi Anawari of the Ahlul-Bayt Philippine Islamic Assembly Inc. (ABPIA) in Suterville, Zamboanga City, released a defamatory and inflammatory statement against the AROPL. The statement labeled the teachings of the AROPL as heretical and claimed they were contrary to the teachings of the family of Prophet Mohammed. The outreach team of the AROPL was blessed to interview Arlo Cananea Pamaran, a believer from the Philippines, who was close to Sheikh Abu Mahdi Anawari and initially reported his findings to him in an effort to convert him. Arlo, previously a Christian, converted to Sunni Islam before deepening his understanding of Islam and discovering the divine leadership of the Ahlul-Bayt. He subsequently became a Shi’a. Eventually, he learned about the emergence of Al-Qa’im through another Philippine believer. Following advice, he read "The Goal of the Wise" by Imam Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq and watched his lectures on YouTube. What ultimately motivated Arlo to become a believer was his wife, who was certain of Aba Al-Sadiq’s divine knowledge and clarity of vision. While watching Aba Al-Sadiq’s lectures, Arlo realized that when prophets received proof of Allah, they immediately prostrated without doubt, like in the story of Prophet Joseph, when his family prostrated to him. After this realization, he told his wife she was right, and they decided to become believers in Aba Al-Sadiq. He was amazed by the hidden knowledge with clear explanations and surprising revelations, such as the truths about the Ka’bah, Qibla, prayer, and the month of Ramadan. Arlo Cananea Pamaran then reported his findings to Sheikh Abu Mahdi Anawari, who in turn published inflammatory comments about the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light. The Sheikh is considered the leader of Shi’ites in the Philippines through his organization, ABPIA. He graduated in Islamic theology in Iran and was given the authority to lead projects for propagating Shi’a Islam in the Philippines. Many so-called Shi’a scholars work under his supervision across various departments. Arlo first met Sheikh Abu Mahdi Anawari at the Ahlul-Bayt Center in 2013 and knew him well due to his active propagation efforts on social media. Arlo also shared that the Islamist and Shi’a sheikhs were alarmed by the knowledge he brought, particularly regarding the will of Prophet Mohammed. They were disturbed because many Shi’ites began questioning the core foundations of their faith, especially knowing Arlo as an active Shi’a propagator in the Philippines. These sheikhs failed to answer intellectual questions clearly and instead instructed their followers not to engage with AROPL spokespersons. Following Sheikh Abu Mahdi Anawari’s statement, reports have surfaced of extremist Shi’as mocking the AROPL, insulting Aba Al-Sadiq, accusing him of being a false Mahdi, and labeling his followers as apostates. They have pressured Arlo to stop propagating AROPL beliefs, fearing further conversions away from their deviant and corrupt sects. However, Arlo does not feel they can easily persecute followers of AROPL in the Philippines as long as the law of religious freedom prevails. The Philippine Constitution, Article III, Section 5, provides: "No law shall be made respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, and the free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination or preference, shall forever be allowed." Arlo remains undeterred by threats and continues sharing the truth with the people, as it is his way of supporting his beloved Aba Al-Sadiq. While these sheikhs have abandoned the teachings of Prophet Mohammed and corrupted the pure religion, Aba Al-Sadiq has come with undeniable proofs of being sent from the guardianship (wilayah) of Imam Ali. He seeks to restore paradise on earth for humanity with a core message of hope. His Manifesto of God guarantees access to decent homes, transportation, education, work opportunities, and medical care under his divine and just state.
- Conversion Stories Highlight the Spread of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light
More believers have been coming forth to spread the divine call in their regions after finding peace and light through the teachings of Aba Al-Sadiq. Ismayil Hajiverdiyev, from Azerbaijan, embraced the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light after becoming disillusioned with mainstream Islam, which he saw as increasingly radicalized and divided into 72 sects. Ismayil felt that the Islam practiced by his community was at odds with the true teachings of Prophet Muhammad, who brought a message of unity and inclusivity under the supremacy of God. Through his studies and reflections, Ismayil perceived that Islam, in its pure form, represented unity, equality, and global peace. However, he found this ideal absent in his own community, which seemed dominated by political and religious elites who contradicted these principles. He recalled the Quranic verse: “Today I have perfected your religion for you, and I have completed My blessing upon you, and I have approved Islam for your religion.” (Qur’an, Chapter 5 (Al-Ma’idah), Verse 3) This verse left him questioning why the Islam of today seemed so far from perfect. He also noticed widespread injustice and oppression, especially among the ruling elite and religious authorities, which starkly contrasted with the magnanimity and love exemplified by Prophet Muhammad. Most astonishingly, Ismayil discovered the sacred final will of Prophet Muhammad, which outlined the names of his successors in an unbroken chain. This revelation brought him comfort, as he realized that God had not left humanity without guidance. Instead, humanity had gone astray by following self-serving leaders. Having faced near-death experiences multiple times during his military service, Ismayil began to reflect on why he had been spared each time. After returning from military duty, his friends Vusal Yusifov and Tabriz Ahmadov introduced him to the Mahdi’s arrival and the teachings of Aba Al-Sadiq. Upon studying the evidence, including the will of Prophet Muhammad, Ismayil recognized the miracles in his life as divine signs and wholeheartedly embraced the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light. After joining the religion, Ismayil experienced genuine peace and kindness among fellow believers, strengthening his conviction. However, as the religion gained traction, its adherents faced persecution by both the state and Muslims who deemed its teachings heretical. To protect themselves, Ismayil and others were forced to leave Azerbaijan. In Turkey, Ismayil continued to face challenges, including detention in a camp for five months under harsh conditions. Following international pressure from over 25 human rights organizations, including HRWF and Amnesty International, he was released. Recognizing that he could not freely practice his faith in Turkey, Ismayil eventually moved to Poland, where he has been able to spread his faith more freely. One of the individuals who embraced the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light through Ismayil’s efforts is Maja Białucha, a Polish citizen. Maja Białucha’s Journey to the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light Maja initially practiced Christianity but later converted to Islam, believing it to be the truthful path. However, she became disheartened by the divisions within Islam and the conflicting teachings of its many scholars. She was particularly disturbed by the unfair treatment of women in mainstream Islam, which led her to question whether it could truly be a divine religion. The Quranic verse resonated with her: “When it is said to them, ‘Follow what Allah has revealed,’ they reply, ‘No! We follow what we found our forefathers practicing.’ Would they still do so, even if their forefathers had no understanding or guidance?” (Qur’an, Chapter 2 (Al-Baqarah), Verse 170) One day, Maja met Ismayil Hajiverdiyev, who introduced her to the teachings of Aba Al-Sadiq and the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light. Initially skeptical, Maja was struck by Ismayil’s morals, respect, and sincerity. She realized that his actions reflected the true teachings of Jesus Christ, which she had loved as a child but never found in her own community. As she began to explore the religion further, Maja read the book The Goal of the Wise , which explained the faith’s principles with clarity and evidence. She was particularly moved by the teachings of love, morality, and kindness, which aligned with the Gospel’s emphasis on compassion: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Bible, Book of Matthew, Chapter 22, Verses 37-40) The comprehensive explanations and strong evidence provided by the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light convinced Maja that it was the true religion. She was especially inspired by the sacred will of Prophet Muhammad, which ensured unbroken guidance for humanity. Motivated by her desire for global peace and tranquility, Maja embraced the faith, joining a community that practices love, morality, and kindness. A Growing Movement Despite Persecution Both Ismayil and Maja’s stories reflect the transformative power of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light. Despite facing persecution, believers continue to spread the divine call, inspired by their faith in the guidance of Abdullah Hashem, whom they recognize as the leader prophesied to guide humanity. The Quran proclaims: “When God’s ultimate help comes and the victory, and you see the people entering into the religion of God in multitudes, glorify the praises of your Lord and seek His forgiveness, for certainly, He is ever Accepting of Repentance.” (Qur’an, Chapter 110 (An-Nasr), Verses 1-3) These stories of conversion and perseverance are testament to the resilience and faith of the Ahmadi believers, as they work toward their vision of unity, equality, and peace for all humanity.
- Obedience to the Divine Messenger
In Aba Al-Sadiq’s ever-evolving call and propagation of faith through the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, the new manifesto today calls for the supremacy of God to establish the kingdom of heaven on earth. This call gathers like-minded believers and supporters from all backgrounds and former beliefs, much like in the time of Jesus, as described in the Book of Acts, where followers worked tirelessly to prioritize humanity. This premise is rooted in one profound concept: obedience to the Imam, or Divine monarch, of our time. Just as people act in obedience to a CEO or pledge loyalty to a political leader, what greater honor could there be than following a messenger sent by God to guide the world? In the Book of John, Jesus reminded his apostles of this universal law: “You are my friends if you do what I command.” (Bible, Book of John, Chapter 15, Verse 14) Ari Abruni, a supporter of the Riser of Truth from Canada, continues to act in obedience to his father’s will to spread the divine message of our time. He has already clarified that a clear and present solution for humanity is being manifested by Aba Al-Sadiq, the divine monarch of our age, through the distribution of posters. Ari has now taken a step further by publicly declaring the importance of obedience to the leader of our faith, the true Pope of our age, Aba Al-Sadiq. Trusting in his guidance and kingship allows believers to work together to build the Divine Just State that Jesus promised for his followers. Aba Al-Sadiq is the divine conductor of this mission, guiding us toward success. “I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.” (Bible, Book of Jeremiah, Chapter 10, Verse 23) Only a man sent by God is inspired to know which “instrument” needs to be played in the right key and at the right time to produce harmonious notes for establishing the Divine Just State. Acting independently and without obedience to this divine conductor would lead to discord in the symphony of the divine mission. Jesus also made it abundantly clear that those who claim to support God’s mission but do not perform His work, and who refuse to obey the will of God’s messenger, especially in this age, have fallen into a deviant trap. “Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.” (Bible, Book of Matthew, Chapter 7, Verses 21-23) Aba Al-Sadiq, the divine conductor of our age, has been gifted with the wisdom to compose the right symphony and bring it to fruition. Like an orchestra conductor, he does not seek his own glory; instead, he often faces away from the audience, directing the movements of his companions. Without his divine guidance, his followers would not know how to play their parts in harmony, and the Divine Just State would cease to be truly divine. As Prophet Lao Tzu stated, the obedient companions of the Riser of Truth often perform works on his behalf: “The leader is best when people barely know he exists; when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.” (Lao Tzu) By obedience, trust, and support for the Riser of Truth, Aba Al-Sadiq, with everything we possess, we can hope to harmonize with the divine symphony being established and bring it to fruition. “Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, and laid them down at the apostles’ feet, and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.” (Bible, Book of Acts, Chapter 4, Verses 34-35) Imam Hussain, successor of Imam Hassan from the unbroken chain of successors of Prophet Mohammed, died to raise up the name of God most high in the bloodbath of Karbala and made it clear when he asked his people, “Is there anyone to help us?” . “Faith, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, ‘You have faith, and I have works.’” (Bible, Book of James, Chapter 2, Verses 17-18) Today, as before, it is essential for humanity to understand that the key commandment of God is always to obey the divine messenger sent in each age. They are endowed with the spirit of God to guide humanity and will not lead us away from God and truth. “O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey his messenger and those vested with authority among you.” (Qur’an, Chapter 4 (Al-Nisa), Verse 59) According to Prophet Mohammed’s narrations, when he was asked about those vested with authority, he stated: “They are my caliphs and the Imams of the Muslims after me.” These infallible guides for humanity, mentioned in Prophet Mohammed’s holy will and testament, are part of an unbroken chain of successors, true scholars of religion who will not mislead, unlike fallible, self-appointed, or elected religious figures who lack divine appointment. Acts of work or worship breathe life into our faith; it is never sufficient to merely profess belief without acting by the divine principle or messenger of our age.
- Hikmat’s Journey: From Seeker to Debater with Established Scholars
Our brother Hikmat, who has dedicated over ten years to the call of Aba Al-Sadiq, has reached a profound understanding of the teachings within the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL). He now leverages his hard-earned wisdom to engage in meaningful debates with scholars of various faiths. Hikmat’s journey began in December 2013 as an Erasmus student in Portugal. He experienced a vivid dream, in which he led a group of people in the call to prayer, or Adhan. Upon waking, he could still hear his voice, as if the experience had been real. That same day, Hikmat encountered a Facebook post about the call of Aba Al-Sadiq with an interpretation from Surah Baqara in the Quran. This synchronistic moment led him to begin a deep exploration of the call, reading the works of Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan and Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem. He found the knowledge shared by them to be supernatural and transformative, shedding light on longstanding mysteries in his faith. Before this journey, Hikmat had read the Quran without true understanding, unable to connect with its profound meanings. Scholars he’d encountered were unable to clarify the mysteries for him. However, as he studied the story of Adam as God’s appointed successor on Earth, the significance of this story became a revelation to him. “When your Lord said to the angels, I am putting a successor on earth.” (Qur’an, Chapter 2 (Al-Baqarah), Verse 30) Hikmat’s dedication to the call only strengthened as he began translating the books of Aba Al-Sadiq’s teachings into Turkish and Azerbaijani, aided by fellow believers. This work led to a significant increase in awareness and growth of the AROPL community in Azerbaijan and Turkey. Scholars soon began criticizing the beliefs of AROPL to the Muslim community. Hikmat and his brothers challenged these critics, exposing what they saw as the scholars’ failure to grasp the true teachings of the prophets and messengers. With the spirit of Aba Al-Sadiq guiding him, Hikmat engaged in face-to-face debates with scholars in Baku, Astara, Shamkir, and other Azerbaijani cities, presenting evidence that left many unable to respond. In frustration, some scholars advised their followers to avoid Hikmat and his teachings, fearing that the truths revealed by Aba Al-Sadiq would awaken people and cause them to question the established teachings. “A time will come for my Ummah during which nothing will remain from the Quran save its scripting, and nothing will remain from Islam save its name. They will be called Muslims while they are as far as one can be from Islam. Their mosques will be filled with people but they will be void of right guidance. The jurists of that time will be the most evil ever under the sky; they have sown disorder and disorder they shall reap.” (Bihar Al-Anwar, Al-Allamah Al-Majlisi, Vol. 52, p. 190) Through these debates, Hikmat’s eyes were opened to the scholars’ neglect of essential principles such as guardianship and true divine authority. He recognized that they deceived their followers with appearances and rhetoric, rather than the true essence of God’s teachings. As he continued to debate these figures, Hikmat invited scholars to public debates on platforms like TikTok, challenging them to present their evidence. Yet, most refused, fearing that their lack of counter-arguments would become apparent. Hikmat’s message to the people of Turkey and Azerbaijan is clear: they must avoid being led astray by these “non-working” scholars and seek the truth through the teachings of Aba Al-Sadiq. “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” (Bible, Book of Matthew, Chapter 15, Verse 14) Hikmat’s steadfastness is reinforced by a supportive community, dedicated to uncovering and sharing the pillars of all religions—Islam, Christianity, and Judaism—under the guidance of Aba Al-Sadiq. His community is committed to exposing the truth and will not waver in their path until all understand the reality of end-time scholars. “For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.” (Bible, Book of Luke, Chapter 8, Verse 17) In 2017, Hikmat engaged in a debate with Kazim Bahci , a well-known scholar. After Hikmat questioned Bahci about identifying God’s true successor and shared the Will of Prophet Muhammad, Bahci left the debate, dismissing Hikmat’s evidence. This experience, along with others, reinforced Hikmat’s belief that many scholars avoid engaging in meaningful discourse on their own beliefs, preferring to focus on jurisprudence while misleading followers. Hikmat’s unwavering dedication continues to resonate, attracting new believers daily to the call of Aba Al-Sadiq and encouraging others to question the established norms.
- AROPL Studios: The Media Wing of Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem
AROPL Studios: The Beacon of Global Outreach “And he’ll raise that rallying banner high, visible to all nations, gather in all the scattered exiles of Israel, pull in all the dispersed refugees of Judah from the four winds and the seven seas.” (Bible, Book of Isaiah, Chapter 11, Verse 12) AROPL Studios, headquartered in the United Kingdom, stands as the official media wing of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, where the banner of “Allegiance is to Allah” waves proudly, broadcasting its message to the world. With two 24/7 satellite TV channels reaching over 120 million homes across the MENA region, Africa, and Europe, the studio fulfills the ancient Hadiths from the Ahlul Bayt that the Qaim from the family of Mohammed would speak to people “in many languages.” AROPL Studios delivers content in Arabic, English, Farsi, French, Urdu, German, Spanish, and Azeri, expanding its reach far beyond traditional borders and working hard to gather believers from the four corners of the world. The influence of these satellite channels has been immense, particularly in regions like the MENA, where satellite TV still adorns most rooftops, and where people cannot afford high-speed internet, or their area lacks adequate services. Thousands have pledged allegiance to the Qaim Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem since the channels launched, and our programs have caught the attention of major media outlets and religious scholars alike in the Middle East. Every day, the phone lines are buzzing with people filled with excitement and curiosity about this call, many of whom pledge their allegiance live on air because they believe in the Holy Will of Prophet Muhammad and they believe that the Qaim Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem is the “Abdullah” mentioned in that Will. They hold onto the words of Mohammed, where he said, “those who die without knowing the Imam of the Time” or “those who die without a pledge of allegiance to the Imam of the Time, have died the death of ignorance.” The callers who are now believers today, have recognized and know the Imam of the time, the Qaim Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem, and they pledged their allegiance and support for all to hear around the world. And they’re not the only ones—over 260 believers have come forward pledging their allegiance in the last 45 days, and that’s not considering those who wish to remain private, due to the persecution members of our faith face from Iran, Iraq, Algeria, Malaysia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Jordan, and other countries in the region. Beyond satellite TV, AROPL's dedicated team of around 45 believers produces content for nearly 50 multi-lingual social media platforms across major sites like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Spotify. The studio's media efforts focus on the teachings of the Qaim in his gospel “The Goal of the Wise,” and his lecture series called "The School of Divine Mysteries," available on the Mahdi Has Appeared YouTube channel. What you have been promised has arrived! https://youtube.com/@themahdihasappeared “The School of Divine Mysteries” series, consisting of over 100 episodes, dives deep into the proofs of the Qaim’s call and shares profound knowledge from Abrahamic traditions, shaking the status quo and calling humanity to the true religion: the Supremacy of God. In less than one year, the channel has seen impressive numbers, with almost 54,000 subscribers, nearly 15 million channel views, and over 420,000 “watch-time hours.” There are end times prophecies from the Ahlul Bayt concerning “the signs of the Appearance of the Qaim,” and in them, they say that the Qaim will speak to the world and the believer will see him in his place, although they themselves are in other parts of the world. No other time than today could this prophecy come to past and The Mahdi Has Appeared YouTube channel and satellite TV channels are a fulfillment of that prophecy over 1,000 years ago. Another big sign of the appearance of the Qaim is that the believers will be able to see each other from the east to the west, and that is certainly fulfilled in the outreach work being carried out by the dedicated believers in AROPL Studios. In every language mentioned above, we have believers working 24/7, speaking to the believers, answering their questions through video calls, hosting live workshops, coordinating various missionary works around the world, and relaying their questions to the Qaim Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem. The outreach team also works very hard to give proofs of our call on various live-streaming platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, as well as inviting scholars or accepting challenges from scholars to debate the legitimacy of this call and the standard in which we raise, “Allegiance is to Allah.” The works that are being carried out by these divisions of the Qaim’s studio are vital to the expansion of this global movement and community, but the works don’t stop there… “The Qaim/Riser shall rise with a new matter, and a new book, and a new jurisprudence which will be hard for the Arabs.”(Kitab Al-Ghayba, Al-Numani, Vol. 1, p. 236) AROPL Studios is also a publishing house for works like "The Goal of the Wise" and "The Mahdi's Manifesto," authored by the Qaim Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem himself. These works have attracted the interest of sincere seekers of God from every religious and non-religious background, as well as esteemed academic institutions, who have visited the headquarters in the United Kingdom. These academics have written many articles about the Qaim Aba Al-Sadiq and his message in their magazines. Recently, the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light headquarters in the UK has also received requests for physical copies of “The Goal of the Wise” and “The Mahdi’s Manifesto” to be present in esteemed universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Trinity College in Dublin, and the National Libraries of Scotland and Wales. The world of academia has been taking notice of the Qaim’s message of “Humanity First” and his vision of a Divine Just State. AROPL Studios is more than just a media hub—it is a labor of faith. The believers working in AROPL are driven by a mission to spread the call of the 7th and final covenant, working tirelessly to reach every corner of the world. We’re also happy to announce that this October 2024 marks the sixth issue of the Divine Just State magazine, covering the latest news, missionary efforts, and the knowledge shared by the Qaim. We have been told that the Malaysian government has banned the Divine Just State Magazine to be accessed through Malaysian Internet connection, as it is considered a magazine that is spreading deviant teachings. In recent reports coming out of Malaysia, three believers of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light have been arrested for “deviant teachings” and one was sentenced to six months in prison and was fined 4,500 Malaysian Ringgit. This is the latest in a string of major persecution cases against members of the faith and an onslaught of censorship against AROPL social media platforms by the Political and religious authorities in Malaysia; including blocking Malaysia-wide AROPL YouTube, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook platforms, and on October 24th, 2024 - blocking the Divine Just State Magazine as well. The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light highlights and strongly condemns the persecution its members face and the media censorship of our missionary works and see it as a direct violation of Malaysia’s so-called laws that protect the freedom of speech, freedom of religion and basic human rights. These matters were broadcast to over 70 million homes on our second satellite channel “The Mahdi Has Appeared”, where the Bishop of Malaysia sat down with Dr. Irfan Aal al-Mahdi and Ailia Aal al-Mahdi and discussed the recent arrests and detainment, as well as the ongoing persecution and censorship of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light in Malaysia. At AROPL Studios, every broadcast, every social media post, and every publication is part of a divine mission to guide humanity toward truth and justice. And all of us here at AROPL Studios thank our beloved Father, the Qaim from the Family of Mohammed, Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem, for the immense honor and blessing to be amongst his supporters in this time, and we would like to thank all the believers in his divine community who work night and day, working until they’re breathless, serving him and helping us in all the various functions of this humble, yet expanding Divine Just State that we are already living in, to spend every moment we have to spread this blessed call to the rest of the world. - What your History Books won’t Tell you
The Vatican stands as one of the wealthiest institutions globally, with billions in luxury goods, while millions of Christians struggle with hunger and poverty. Islamic scholars have issued bizarre religious rulings, like forbidding women from watching football or sitting on chairs. In Burma, Buddhists have carried out violent campaigns, committing genocide in the name of Buddha, with Muslim children being burned alive. Across all these faiths, the pattern is unmistakable: mainstream religion has become a farce. Those in power twist religion to serve their own ends, often at the expense of their followers. But how did we get here? To understand the way the world is today, we need to accept an uncomfortable truth: history - and consequently religion - has been changed and distorted by those in power throughout time. Rulers have deliberately altered records to hide uncomfortable truths, erase certain people, and protect their own power. Altering Historical Records - A Tool for the Powerful One example is Queen Hatshepsut of ancient Egypt. After she died in 1457 BCE, her successor, Thutmosis III, tried to erase her from history. He had her name removed from monuments and her images defaced because her reign challenged the traditional role of women in power. For centuries, Hatshepsut’s name was forgotten until she was rediscovered by archaeologists in the 20th century. This wasn’t just an Egyptian tactic. In ancient Rome, the government had a process called damnatio memoriae —where people who fell out of favor had their names scratched from records and their faces removed from statues, as if they never existed. Many people were erased this way, and most of them vanished from history forever. Even in more recent times, we see the same pattern. In the Soviet Union, under Joseph Stalin, a man named Nikolai Yezhov was executed, and Stalin had his image removed from official photos. Yezhov, once close to Stalin, became known as "The Vanishing Commissar" because he was erased from history in a way similar to Hatshepsut. Changing History, Changing Religion This kind of erasure doesn't just happen to political figures—it also happens in religious history. Many prophets and religious leaders were revolutionaries who stood up to the powerful systems of their time. For example, Moses defied Pharaoh, the most powerful man in Egypt, and led the Israelites out of slavery. Jesus Christ harshly criticized the religious leaders of his time, calling them corrupt and referring to them as “children of the devil.” He caused such a stir that he was handed over to the Roman authorities to be executed. The Prophet Mohammed was also a radical figure. In a society where alcohol use was widespread and women had almost no rights, he banned alcohol, gave women the right to divorce and inherit property, and fought against the practice of burying newborn girls alive. His teachings were revolutionary at the time and made him very unpopular with the ruling elites. The pattern is clear: prophets and revolutionaries often face harsh resistance from those in power during their lives, sometimes being imprisoned or killed. After their death, their messages are often twisted or watered down to fit the needs of those in power. This kind of distortion isn't unique to any one religion or culture. The Greek philosopher Plato talked about a similar problem in his allegory of the cave. In the story, a man escapes from a cave where people have only ever seen shadows on the wall, and he discovers the real world. When he returns to tell the others about the truth, they laugh at him and reject what he says. Plato writes: "Would he not be ridiculous? Men would say of him that up he went and down he came without his eyes... and if any one tried to lead another up to the light, let them only catch the offender, and they would put him to death." (Politeia, Book 7, 106) The message is simple: when people present new ideas that challenge the way society is run, they are often met with rejection or hostility. People in power use history, religion, and culture to protect their status and keep things the same, even if it means distorting the truth. In the Quran we read: "And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but assumption, and they are not but falsifying." (Qur’an, Chapter 6 (Al-An'am), Verse 116) The corruption of history is not a mistake—it’s a tool used by those in power to maintain control. If we want to understand the present, we need to uncover the truths that have been hidden and question the systems that have shaped the way we see the world. Only then can we begin to challenge the structures that hold us back. The Corruption of Christianity - From Paul to the Council of Nicea After Jesus’ death, the forces that opposed him took control of his message, and today, the Catholic Church is a religious institution with immense wealth while millions suffer from hunger. The transformation of Jesus' teachings began early, particularly through the work of the apostle Paul, a figure who had a profound impact on Christianity as we know it today. Paul, who wrote almost half of the New Testament, never met Jesus. In fact, during Jesus’ life, Paul, known then as Saul, was an enemy of his Jesus’ followers. He actively persecuted Christians, dragging them from their homes and putting them in prison. Paul himself admits to being obsessed with hunting down followers of Jesus, even participating in their executions. "Many a time I went from one synagogue to another to have them punished, and I tried to force them to blaspheme. I was so obsessed with persecuting them that I even hunted them down in foreign cities." (Bible, Book of Acts, Chapter 26, Verse 11) Paul’s sudden conversion is said to have come from a vision of Jesus on the road to Damascus. After that, he became a leader in the early Christian church, and his writings shaped much of Christian doctrine. But Paul’s teachings often conflict with what Jesus taught. It raises the question: Was Paul a man who sincerely repented, or did he continue his mission to undermine Jesus’ teachings from within? There are many examples where Paul’s views directly contradict Jesus’ teachings. One key difference is their approach to the laws of Moses. Jesus stated clearly that he did not come to abolish the Law of Moses but to fulfill it. He emphasized that not even the smallest part of the law should be set aside. Paul, on the other hand, claimed that Christ was the end of the law, encouraging his followers to abandon practices like circumcision, which were fundamental to Jewish law. Perhaps most troubling is Paul’s stance on worldly rulers. While Jesus made it clear that his kingdom was not of this world, Paul taught that all governing authorities were established by God and should be obeyed. This teaching gave early Christians a reason to submit to oppressive rulers and has since been used to justify collaboration between the church and corrupt political powers. Moreover Paul had just recently witnessed Jesus being executed by the Romans. How could he support worldly rulers after witnessing this? "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."(Bible, Book of Romans, Chapter 13, Verses 1-2) Paul also introduced ideas about women that contradicted Jesus' teachings. While Jesus treated women with respect and even included them in his ministry, Paul limited their role, forbidding women from speaking in churches or holding authority over men. He also introduced the religious head covering for women and promoted celibacy, laying the groundwork for many of the Catholic Church's more controversial practices, which have led to abuse scandals over the centuries. Paul writes: "Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church." (Bible, Book of 1 Corinthians, Chapter 14, Verses 34-35) Paul’s influence didn’t stop at changing Jesus’ teachings. Several centuries later, the Council of Nicaea, in 325 AD, further distorted the Christian message. The council, led by the Pope of Alexandria, introduced the doctrine of the Holy Trinity, which claimed that Jesus was not only the Son of God but God Himself. This concept, which is now central to Christian belief, was not something Jesus ever taught. In fact, many early Christian scholars, like Arius, strongly opposed this idea. Arius and his followers argued that Jesus was a prophet, not God, but they were exiled, and their writings were destroyed. The manipulation of Jesus' teachings goes beyond theological distortions; it extends to Christian customs and traditions that are often rooted in pagan practices. One well-known example is the Christmas tree. Long before the birth of Christianity, decorating homes with fir branches was a common practice in pagan traditions. The Romans, for instance, would adorn their homes with fir branches during Saturnalia, a festival held in honor of Saturn, which took place between December 17th and December 23rd. This practice had no connection to Jesus or the Bible. Because of these pagan origins, some U.S. states went so far as to ban Christmas decorations, including fir trees, in the 18th century, referring to them as a “pagan mockery” of the holiday. Yet, over time, such customs were integrated into Christian celebrations, with little reflection on their non-Christian origins. The Corruption of Judaism - Pagan Idol Worship Judaism, as recorded primarily in the Torah, traces the history of the "Children of Israel," descendants of Abraham through Isaac, who saw themselves as God's chosen people. But the Torah records the internal struggles of the Children of Israel—both against political enemies and against their own disobedience to God’s commands. A striking pattern in the Torah is the repeated defiance of the Israelites against their own prophets and their tendency to adopt foreign gods. As recorded in the Psalms, the Jewish prophet David lamented about his ancestors: “How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness and grieved him in the wasteland!” (Bible, Book of Psalms, Chapter 78, Verse 40) This disobedience, far from being occasional, seems to have shaped much of Jewish history. One example comes from the book of Ezekiel. Here, God says: “But they rebelled against me and would not listen to me; they did not get rid of the vile images they had set their eyes on, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and spend my anger against them in Egypt.” (Bible, Book of Ezekiel , Chapter 20, Verse 8) The Israelites, despite being led out of Egypt by Moses, could not fully shake off the Egyptian cultural and religious influences they had absorbed during their centuries of captivity. A striking symbol of this is the Ark of the Covenant, one of the most important Jewish artifacts, which clearly shows Egyptian design elements. The Torah itself proves that foreign influences crept into Jewish customs, shaping the religion over time. Even after their Exodus, the Israelites continued to fall into idol worship. They adopted the god “Baal,” as mentioned in Hosea: “I will punish her for the days she burned incense to the Baals; she decked herself with rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers, but me she forgot,” declares the Lord ( The Torah: Hosea 2). The worship of Baal, along with practices like the sacrifice of newborns, represents one of the earliest infiltrations into the Jewish faith. Modern scholars widely agree that Moses did not write the Torah. The text bears the marks of multiple authors over different periods. In fact, the language, tone, and even entire sections of the Torah are sometimes repeated, suggesting two versions of a single story were merged together. Many historians point to the Babylonian exile, around 450 BC, as a crucial moment when Jewish writings were nearly lost. It was the priest Ezra who is said to have "brought the modern Torah to Jerusalem" after the exile, having rewritten much of the text that had been corrupted during the centuries of Babylonian influence. Even most rabbis today acknowledge that the Torah has undergone modifications, and there is widespread consensus that many passages have been altered. Therefore Judaism is another religion that has been corrupted throughout the course of history. The Corruption of Islam - Power Struggle After the Prophets Death Much like what happened to Judaism, Christianity, and other faiths, Islam was altered after the death of its prophet, Mohammed. To blame modern extremism, violence, and intolerance on Mohammed himself would be akin to blaming Jesus for the child abuse scandals of the Catholic Church. The core teachings were transformed, misunderstood, and exploited by individuals who wanted to reshape the religion for their own purposes. And Islam today is completely different to what it once was. Before his death, Mohammed made clear who should guide the Muslim community after him. According to the Sahih Muslim, Mohammed left two critical things for the believers: "I am leaving for you two precious things. First, the book of Allah in which there is light and guidance. The other one is my Ahlul-Bayt." (Sahih Muslim, Muslim ibn Al-Hajjaj Al-Naysaburi, Vol. 4, p. 1873, Hadith 36) This was a clear directive that Mohammed's family, the Ahlul-Bayt, including his cousin and son-in-law Ali ibn Abi Talib, were to continue his work. However, there was resistance from Mohammed's companions, who sought control after his passing. A well-documented moment occurred when Mohammed, on his deathbed, asked for writing materials to leave final instructions. Umar, one of his close companions, objected, dismissing the Prophet’s request. "When Allah’s Messenger was on his death-bed... The Prophet said, ‘Let me write for you a statement after which you will never go astray.’ Umar said, ‘The Prophet is seriously ill and you have the Quran; so the Book of Allah is enough for us.’ The people present in the house differed and quarreled." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Bukhari, Book of Patients, Hadith 5669) Because of this tragic episode Mohammed’s instructions were left incomplete, and his family was sidelined. The Rise of Abu Bakr and Umar Immediately after Mohammed’s death, two of his companions, Abu Bakr and Umar, took control, appointing themselves as leaders. Abu Bakr became the first caliph, though he was not Mohammed’s appointed successor. In a controversial move, Abu Bakr even denied Fatima, the Prophet’s daughter, her rightful inheritance. The breach of justice was stark, especially given Mohammed’s words about his daughter: "Fatima is a part of me: whatever upsets her upsets me, and whatever hurts her hurts me." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Bukhari, Book of Companions of the Prophet, Hadith 3714) The early actions of these so-called “rightly guided caliphs” led to deep fractures in the Muslim community. Abu Bakr’s aggressive campaigns against those who refused to pay taxes and his denial of the Prophet’s family marked the beginning of a long era of corruption and violence in the name of Islam. Uthman and the Corruption of the Quran The third caliph, Uthman, is often remembered for his role in standardizing the Quran, but this action also led to significant alterations in the text. The discovery of the Sana Manuscript in 1979, one of the oldest versions of the Quran, revealed significant differences between it and the current version, challenging the comprehensiveness of today's Quran. This manuscript, written in “Rasm” script with only 18 distinguishable letters, predates the 28-letter Arabic alphabet in today’s Quran. Over time, this led to significant errors, as seen in the controversial verse about the punishment for theft. The word “faqata’u” means “cut off,” but with one letter change, it could mean “discolor,” indicating that thieves' hands were meant to be dyed, not amputated. Questions also arise about the arrangement of verses in the Quran, with the first revealed verses placed in Sura 96 rather than Sura 1. And about Islamic Sahih traditions stating, that verses were eaten by goats: “The verse of stoning and of breastfeeding an adult ten times was revealed, and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tame sheep came in and ate it.” (Sunan Ibn Majah, Ibn Majah, Book of Marriage, Hadith 1944) Moreover, the third Islamic caliph Uthman ordered the burning of versions of the Quran that he did not approve - which bears a striking similarity to what happened after the Council of Nicea. “Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Quranic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Bukhari, Book of Virtues of the Qur'an, Hadith 4987) The Division of Islam This attempt at distorting Mohammed’s message caused Islam to split into two main factions: the Sunnis, who supported the rule of the caliphs, and the Shiites, who wanted to prevent the corruption of Islam and follow the successors that Mohammed had appointed in his will. The conflict between these groups escalated, culminating in the massacre of Mohammed’s grandson, Hussein, at Karbala by the forces of Yazid, the ruler of the Umayyad dynasty. Charles Dickens, reflecting on Hussein’s martyrdom, once said: "If Husain had fought to quench his worldly desires… then I do not understand why his sister, wife, and children accompanied him. It stands to reason therefore, that he sacrificed purely for Islam." How could so-called Muslims justify brutally murdering the prophet's grandson, who he himself had described as “the master of the youth of paradise?" What happened to Hussein was also inflicted upon his descendants. According to Twelver Shia traditions, nearly all of the Imams were assassinated by the orders of self-proclaimed caliphs. Most were said to have been killed by poison. Some were abducted and imprisoned for years before their eventual demise. We can see that the story of humanity is the story of a battle between the oppressor and the oppressed. Those who win will write history and establish their narrative as the “historical truth”. Only those who question, research and verify the facts for themselves will be able to understand the full picture.
