“Religion is a Man” – An Unusual Message of Peace Draws Attention in Hannover

How do you convey a message that has nearly been lost to time? How do you make a simple truth visible, one that has been overshadowed for millennia by hostility and selfishness within human society, and trapped in a complex web of power struggles? How can this web of intrigue and intergenerational corruption be untangled?

The answer is disarmingly simple: “Religion is a Man.” With this single thought, the web of confusion dissolves. Just leadership comes through this man, appointed by God. Religion remains alive because it is passed from one representative to the next, allowing it to evolve continuously. If this chain of succession is broken, the divine message becomes a doctrine of the past, applied uncritically to the modern world, and thus loses its true purpose.

The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light revives this concept through the teachings of Aba Al-Sadiq, the God-appointed representative of this era. It was precisely this unbroken chain of divine guidance through a continuous succession of representatives that members of the religion made visible in Hannover on 31/01/26.

Eight members presented faces from the history of religions, figures over whom today’s faiths each claim exclusive authority: Buddha belongs solely to Buddhism, Krishna and Arjuna to Hinduism, Jesus to Christianity, and Muhammad to Islam. Yet they are all messengers of the same God, delivering God’s message to humanity at different times and places.

The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light demonstrates through this unique understanding that all religions are, in truth, one. They differ only in their laws, which are adapted to meet the specific needs of people in their respective times.

The Quran says: "For each of you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way. If Allah had willed, He could have made you one community; but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you. So race to [all that is] good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ." (Quran 5:48)

And Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq explained in essence: God’s religion is one, but its laws differ according to time, people, and the maturity of humanity.

Members of the religion presented the Gospel of the Call, which serves as a foundational text describing the development of God’s relationship with humanity through His various messengers. However, the main attraction was the colorfully printed portraits of religious figures, which drew curious visitors: How do Mary Magdalene and Odin fit together? How do Buddha and the Prophet Muhammad?

Despite the winter weather, the message of unity attracted many interested visitors, sparking numerous engaging conversations. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive—not least because the understanding of the unity of religions, as taught by the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, can be summed up in a single guiding principle: “Humanity first.” A large sign bearing this message invited further discussion and encouraged many passersby to approach the stand.

The teachings of Aba Al-Sadiq, founder of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, invite people to see religion not as a source of division, but as a shared path toward unity.
