The 25th of November marks what is known as White Ribbon Day in Crewe. White Ribbon Day is observed each year to raise awareness and take action against violence towards women and girls. Participants are encouraged to wear a white ribbon as a symbol of their commitment to ending such violence. The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light in Crewe recognises the importance of such an important endeavour and in recognition of the necessary raising of awareness to this matter have taken part in the walk organised by White Ribbon–accredited organisations Crewe Town Council and Avanti West Coast, together with project partners Her-Place Charitable Trust.
The Divine Just State Magazine and AROPL wish to thank Councillor Ben Wye for kindly inviting us to take part in this wonderful activity. The walk was attended by Mayor Sally Graham, Councillor Dawn Clark, Alan Coiley, Ben Wye, members of Crewe Town Council, and representatives from local organisations including Crewe Police, YMCA Crewe and Creative Crewe, all standing together for this vital cause. We are proud to work alongside these local initiatives to help raise awareness to the importance of ending violence against women and girls. The walk started at Crewe Railway Station and concluded at Crewe Market Hall.
Such issues must be recognised and publicised to bring justice where necessary as soon as possible and to the oppression of the vulnerable. AROPL will continue to support and bring attention to any and all issues of injustice and oppression in the name of putting Humanity First above all else.
