The banner bearing the inscription "Allegiance is to Allah" (Al-Bayaa liLah) is central to the call of the Qaim from the Family of Mohammed, serving as a powerful symbol of divine authority, a defining prophecy, and the core tenet of the Seventh Covenant.

This report details the significance, traditions, and relationship of this banner to the Qaim and his predecessors, drawing extensively from The Goal of the Wise, The Mahdi's Manifesto, and the School of Divine Mysteries Series.

The Banner "Allegiance is to Allah"

Inscription, Appearance, and Symbolism

The definitive motto of the call of the Mahdis is the banner inscribed with the phrase: "Allegiance is to Allah" (Al-Bayaa liLah).

The banner is known as the Black Banner. Originally, the flag of Islam was white. It is now black to signify the sins, blackness, and darkness present in the hearts and souls of the Muslims due to their oppression and rejection of Muhammad and his Family.

The full inscription on the banner of the Divine Just State includes specific declarations beyond the central motto: "La ilaha illa Allah" (There is no God but Allah), "Mohammed RasulAllah" (Mohammed is the Messenger of Allah), "Ali WaliyAllah" (Ali is the Vicegerent of God), and "Al-Mahdi HujjatAllah" (The Mahdi is the Proof of Allah). It also bears the phrase: "That which you were promised has come". The flag itself is depicted as black and yellow.

The Essence of the Inscription: Supremacy of God

The motto "Allegiance is to Allah" fundamentally declares the Supremacy of God in rulership. This core concept signifies that:

1. Divine Appointment is the Only Authority: Only God has the authority and right to appoint the leader, ruler, king, president, or political authority over humanity. This principle is consistent throughout all divine religions, from Adam onward.

2. Rejection of Man-Made Systems: The banner's call nullifies all man-made systems of governance, including democracy, communism, monarchies, and other systems where people choose their rulers. The adherence to any other allegiance constitutes polytheism (shirk) and leads to the death of ignorance.

3. Worship through Obedience: Obedience to the divinely appointed leader—the messenger, Imam, or Hujjah—is equated with the worship of God. By following the emissary who embodies the Holy Spirit (God in creation), the believer fulfills the first commandment: submission.

Traditions and Prophecies of the Banner

The tradition and eventual manifestation of the banner are key indicators of the end times:

It is narrated that on the banner of Al-Mahdi is written: "Al-Bay'atu lillah" or "Allegiance is to Allah" - Kamal al-Din wa Tamam al-Ni'ma, vol. 2, p. 654

Prophetic Mandate: The slogan "Allegiance is to Allah" is a specific prophecy found in the narrations of Mohammed and the Family of Mohammed, identifying the Mahdi's banner. The fact that this specific phrase was foretold serves as a powerful proof against misguidance, ensuring that nobody can falsely claim the identity of the Mahdi merely by raising a black flag.

Historical Precedent: The original banner of Islam was white, but the Black Banner was used by the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him and his family) in the Battle of Badr. It was subsequently rolled up by Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) who stated that no one would see it again until the emergence of the Qaim. The raising of this banner in the end times symbolizes the completion of the original mission of the prophets.

The Black Banners from the East: The emergence of this banner is linked to the prophecy of the Black Banners coming from the East (Khurasan or Basra/Iraq). The bearers of these banners initially ask for their rights but are denied. They rise in revolution and eventually push the rulership to the Mahdi.

The Banner and the Qaim from the Family of Mohammed

The banner is solely tied to the Qaim and the successors of the Twelfth Imam, the Mahdis, proving their divine mission:

The Yamani (First Mahdi): Imam Ahmed Al-Hassan (the Yamani) was the first to fulfill this prophecy by coming forward and claiming to be "Ahmed" in the Holy Will of the Prophet Mohammed. He raised the banner with the inscription "Allegiance is to Allah" in 1999. He marched forward alone, carrying the same banner as his forefathers.

The Qaim/Riser (Second Mahdi): Aba Al-Sadiq, Abdullah Hashem, claims to be "Abdullah" in the Holy Will and the Qaim/Riser who currently represents Imam Al-Mahdi.

• He was commanded by Ahmed Al-Hassan to raise the Black Banner and proclaim the message publicly.

• He emphasizes that he is the only person currently raising this banner with the promised inscription, making it an undeniable proof of his legitimate claim.

• The banner's message of divine supremacy directly confronts the falsehood of contemporary rulers (such as the false pope and oppressive Muslim regimes), who fear the message and view it as a threat.

The banner is a core component of the three criteria required to recognize the Proof of God: being divinely appointed (Will), possessing divine knowledge, and holding the banner calling to the Supremacy of God. Without fulfilling all three, the claimant would be leading people astray. The fulfillment of the prophecy ensures the Qaim's place as the successor to Mohammed and his Family.

His Eminence, the Qaim Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem said:

The words of the Prophet (saw) were fulfilled when I raised the Black Banner for the Messenger of Allah (saw) said that on the banner of the Mahdi it would be written 'Allegiance is to Allah.' I have been the only one in the world to raise this banner since the death of Imam Ali (as), and until today, with the exception of Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan (as). Through this banner, we signify our unwavering loyalty to Allah and to the true guidance of the family of the Prophet.

Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem raises the Black Banners "Allegiance is to Allah" – fulfilling the prophecies of the Mahdi and becoming the only man on earth to do so and call towards the Supremacy of God.
