Ramadan Gift from the Mahdi to the Muslims

This portrait was unveiled by the Qaim Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem at "The Museum of Mohammed & his Household" and offered as a gift and reminder to all muslims observing Ramadan this year.

Some moments in history are a blot on humanity’s record. The question is, how do we change what happens today, to avoid the mistakes of yesterday?

The Muslim nation has silently allowed, and even enforced, the oppression of Prophet Mohammed and his Ahlulbayt for 1400 years. Great tragedies have occurred and unspeakable crimes committed against the holiest of families - not by the enemies of Islam - but by the people of the Prophet’s own nation.

There is no greater shame than the crimes committed against Imam Al-Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed and the third of the Twelve Imams mentioned in the Will of Prophet Mohammed.

And a picture truly speaks a thousand words. This latest piece in the Museum of Mohammed and the Family of Mohammed captures a true moment in Islam’s shameful history - the raising of the decapitated head of Imam Al-Hussain on a spear.

This is a grave reminder to the Muslim nation of the consequences that incur from rejecting and attacking the chosen Imam of the time.

Today, the son of Imam Al-Hussain, Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq, stands in the place of his father, proudly continuing his mission and immortalising his forefather’s history. We will never forget the spilling of that innocent blood. And we will never relent in continuing the mission for which Imam Al-Hussain sacrificed so much.
