Hamidreza Saghari

The recent detention of Habibullah Ahmadi, an Afghan citizen arrested in May 2025 while distributing flyers, reflects a broader campaign of repression against AROPL by the Iranian regime. This follows earlier incidents, including the 2025 disappearance of Saeed Jarrahian and Abbas Jafari Najaf, and the violent 2022 assault on believers traveling together.

In response to a public debate challenge issued by Ayatullah Qazvini, who accused Imam Ahmed Al-Hassan of apostasy and called for a debate or Mubahala, Hamidreza Saghari—Bishop of Iran for the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light—accepted the challenge on behalf of his faith.

We are gravely concerned about the forced disappearance of two Iranian believers, Saeed Jarrahian and Abbas Jafari Najaf.
